02/7/2007 19:43 | Our generous nomad bought ruffly 2700 squid worth of SCR. LOL!!! Next stop = ZERO pence! | winner4life
02/7/2007 13:06 | Looks like our nomad has been in for a few more this morning :-) | strow
01/7/2007 21:01 | News that they have managed to pay this month's air-conditioning bill at 38 Jermyn Street? I am still holding these damn things. | nobull
01/7/2007 20:23 | Hoping for something of interest here soon | strow
29/6/2007 21:27 | I suspect the merits of diversification is something most of us have learnt the hard way. I am sure we have all been seduced by a company that was a racing certainty that tripped up. | kimboy2
29/6/2007 20:53 | Nothing much to say really (since there's been no news), but I'll say it anyway ;-) It worries me that people talk about vesting a potential large loss (in their terms, of course) on a speculative share like this or any other of its kind. JMV, but I really do think one should take higher risk with a limited proportion of one's portfolio. Of course there will be some who do the opposite and do spectacularly well - but that's just survivorship bias, IMO. I'm not an 'angry' ex-holder, by the way. I'm wry! It seems to me I can't expect to make good money on speculative shares without expecting to lose it at times too - so I'm annoyed with myself for over-committing in this case, but personally I think it would be just silly to be angry. In terms of China miners doing well - well, there are others apart from SCR and GGG, and some have done well over this period! SCR's position is very different, I think - it's severely knocked back, so who knows what a good development might do for the SP? Just not my thing any more. | simon54
29/6/2007 18:21 | I am sticking with scr valentine, perhaps stubbornly so-i will either lose a lot or gain a lot-what a choice!Sorry to hear about your big losses here-i think there are a lot of angry ex holders, but i dont stand to lose as much as some, having bought in a little later in the day than some-make no bones about it,if it goes belly up,i will lose a lot,but thats my decision-am always looking at other opportunities as we all are,but one of these china miners is going to do well,im sure of it,so am positioned accordingly-lets hope we both do well with ipl-the odds look very good there-anyways,its not always about being right, although it helps-im not trying to proove that to anyone-i make my choices and stick by them-if i get it wrong, only got myself to blame-we all get it wrong sometimes-as long as we all dont get it wrong all of the time,we can live and learn to fight another day-have a good weekend and best of luck p.s-i will take a very good look at amer-that has not fallen on deaf ears | strow
29/6/2007 17:38 | You can help some of the people most of the time strow but most of the people only some of the time. They have a clean sheet and 'known reserves' and top class people running the show. Low-cost high reward..not being facetious..SCR came wihin an ace of bankrupting me..I had recently returned from China and Hong Kong full of it for Sino-UK potential..bad investment strategy. How wrong can you be? CHP had its probelems and nearly went to wire..The new board know what they're doing!! and have the projects to go for. SCR may turn it round the same way..you never know!?? I just attended an out of town EGM for Amer. Today is the first day of trading. 26m plus went through and only the institutions know why!!..and those who took trouble to travel to Cardiff for the EGM! Monday could be the day it starts to all come right.. Recommended purely out of altruistic inclination..I have had enough of the p-takers on AIM! Stick with SCR mate! I concede; You're probably right! | valentine
29/6/2007 17:30 | Keep looking at it-WILL keep looking at it -thanks | strow
29/6/2007 17:18 | Get some AMER while you can strow. Sorted all the logistcal problems that dogged old entity CHP and only going for 'known' low-risk high-reward projects. E&P forget it. More likely to put a smile back on chops than staying here. Zhunou?, don't doubt something will happen but telescope isn't powerful enough to see quite when. | valentine
29/6/2007 16:57 | Well so are mine,so that makes two of us,but im still not smiling yet....(and i am aware that youve sold) | strow
29/6/2007 16:16 | removed the post on diddy men as I wouldnt like to be accused of being homophobic.....when I am quite catholic in my dislikes.....its everyone :) | figure6

29/6/2007 16:10 | Whose Ken Dodd? Is he a Victorian comedian? Do you have to be an octogenarian to have heard of him? (I bet hes got buck teeth aswell). | figure6
29/6/2007 15:58 | Is that funny?valentine im still trying to be serious here-all these ex holders who think its funny to keep coming back on and mocking-i dont know... | strow
29/6/2007 15:35 | Just thought id put this out,and im sure he wont mind me mentioning it,but i asked a/c about what somebody mentioned re not allowing any new moly mines etc-he says that he hasnt seen anything legislated re this, but thinks it may be a localised thing with respect to closing polluting mines and tightening up export licences-he to the best of his knowledge does not see this effecting things for scr(i asked him specifically re the xian joint venture at langkou) | strow
28/6/2007 15:49 | strow no worries, the market needs reassurance of what scr is actually working at present, they could at least announce an shareholder reassurance statement, your views are welcome... | dogm4n
28/6/2007 15:39 | carnage minnows for me ? | lob_on
