As a shareholder I'm concerned that the low stock price will cause challenges around staff retention. The demand for staff in this sector is very high and I assume Sondrel's retention in part includes stock. At a low price it doesn't look so appealing as an employer.

Of course staff in it for the long term will get an option price very low, but from my experience people don't think that way !

He was a Mckinsey guy. Always a disaster. No wonder the shares starting to recover now he's gone.

...gopher, the CEO and company founder Graham Curren holds 44.88% of the stock. So I think shareholders should be ok.

Must admit that a little surprised that resignation of non exec greeted with share price rise. The company will keep going but what's in doubt is whether existing shareholders will be wiped out in a capital reconstruction.

In August they hinted that the revenue from the Tier 1 OEM Automotive chip would be towards £100m per year. As such, and considering the work that has already been done it seems inconceivable that the Tier 1 OEM will not come up with some funding solution to help out. They can't afford not to imo. And to a Tier 1 oem auto like GM / Ford / Tesla etc a few million to complete the chip is peanuts.

Gordon Orr commented:"My decision to step down from the Board reflects my desire to narrow my directorship commitments and I remain a committed supporter of the Sondrel story. I have enjoyed interacting with the Board and wider executive team since the Group's IPO. Sondrel has a strong team in place and I am confident it will deliver on its ambitions as demand for ASICs continues to increase and Sondrel's leading engineering capability really sets it apart from others in the industry."Buy!

I've no position - I held a while back.

A major concern must be why would any prospective customer choose a supplier who have had to admit that it can't pay its staff? I'd certainly not be funding anything up front - which is exactly what SND need......

They've actually been doing well on contracts & orders (also their pipeline is strong too) - problem is budgeting & project delivery delays. The main issue these errors have caused seems to be they missed a payment milestone at the end of the year that would have otherwise got them a £1.7m payment in the bank. Poor management controls & getting too excited about new orders instead of calculating cash needs first is inexcusable. Board should ensure the new CFO is given far more control. CEO seems a liability. All seems fixable if the concentrate on the right things but time is unfortunately now very short.

No point in a 50% gain to get 2p unless you whack a few grand into it..and I think most are not willing to bet on a few grand at this price and this mess...I'd rather go to the casino and take my chances there
