Wasn't PW's stated ambition to get to a $1 billion market cap and then sell? Surely this is too big a jump from where SDX currently are?...anyway, nothing we can do while suspended, just have to sit it out and wait & see the details of the deal

Tongue in cheek: I think the RNS has a typo - SDX is planning a takeover of BP as a whole, not merely some Egyptian assets.

Buying BP assets with a $300m loan from BP which will be paid back with oil from the assets. Presumably there is also a placing in the offing too? Hence the admission document?

The Board confirms that it is in discussions for the acquisition of a significant package of assets in Egypt from BP (the "Acquisition"). The Acquisition would constitute a reverse take-over under Rule 14 of the AIM Rules for Companies and would be subject to Shareholder approval.
