13/9/2018 16:50 | It says the stock is held for discretionary clients..... so different clients with different managers acting independently & nobody overseeing the overall position? | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
13/9/2018 16:44 | Yes indeed! it looks like the confusion is with River & Mercantile, someone has been buying while someone else has been selling depending on what state of mind the manager was in! | ![]() wisteria2
13/9/2018 16:32 | Two previous notifiable positions. Remember, if they had circa 3.5% in March and 7.2% in July, then they bought shares, went over 5% and should have notified. That's 1 missed filing. Then they have to have been below 5% recently in order to yesterday have crossed above 5%, so since July they have to have sold down going below 5%. That's 2 missed notifications. So they've been buying and selling a lot of shares and not notifying. | ![]() shakeypremis
13/9/2018 16:29 | bit of action at the end there..... | ![]() ifthecapfits
13/9/2018 16:25 | I've just thought of something else too. If the SDX website is right and they held 3.42% on the 28th March 2018, then to get to the Edison figure in July they would have had to have bought ~4%, going over 5% to do so, again without notifying. I think Edison must be wrong but if they aren't something very fishy is going on here. | ![]() shakeypremis
13/9/2018 16:16 | TGG, I agree. Don't they have to have bought shares here? They crossed a 5% threshold. And the only way you can cross a 5% threshold and end up with 5.2% after doing so is if your holding beforehand was less than 5%. So they have to have bought shares recently after presumably selling a lot earlier in the year but they never notified about that did they as they would have crossed 5% to the downside. I am very confused. The July Edison note has them holding 7.2%. So in order to today, cross from below 5% to above 5% they have to had bought shares but to get to below 5% before today after July they have to have sold shares since July and bought a lot of them back recently. What is going on here? Are these holdings numbers wrong or did they just not notify selling down below 5%. Have they been trading SDX? | ![]() shakeypremis
13/9/2018 15:15 | Curious.... going by the RNS it looks as if they've gone from a non-notifiable holding (below 5%) to a notifiable one..... | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
13/9/2018 15:13 | Surely they've been selling, not buying. If you look at the Edison note from July 2018, River & Mercantile held 7.2%, now they hold 5.2%? Extract from that Edison note: Principal shareholders (%) MEA ENERGY 19.5% Ingalls & Snyder 18.4% River & Mercantile Asset Management 7.2% Highclere Investment Management 5.3% Monoyios Nikolaos D 4.4% BRACKETT VALERIE A 3.9% Royal Bank of Canada 3.1% AXA 2.5% BMO Financial 2.3% Newlands David Baxter 2.2% JPMorgan Chase & Co 1.8% | ![]() plentymorefish

06/9/2018 06:12 | According to morning star AXA have taken a position here and added over 5m in the last few months. I wonder if the suspected selling as actually them buying on a limit order, and the price periodically being dropped to fill with their buys actually reported as sells?? | ![]() darola |
