It would being less pompous and believing your own version is the unvarnished truth. And a little balance would help too. Behaving like Eeyore is not balanced.

DD but you currently hold here and will sell around 40p . So 65% upside .

I think the problem here is that it looks like you think the share price is over valued with your coments when infact you hold .

And of course tht could change when drilling Río Amarillo or any of the 72 sites .

Solgold is not just about one site . How many of the other miners that you advised in had such a large portfolio of projects ?

Always worth listening to Joe Mazumdar of Exploration Insights, here presenting at the Virtual Metals Investor Forum on Thursday April 30 2020. Not company specific to Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador but relevent nevertheless to the bigger picture in terms of new copper production deficits (especially in 2023-25) and funding focusing of quality plays

Needs to be today or tomorrow at very latest. Otherwise snacks of gross market manipulation. Cutting it fine.

Probability of staying on track for the 2 week deadline?
If they delay I will not believe them anymore. They were very bullish a few weeks ago.

Also ties i with my 40p at the end of this week which might seem unlikely but the way the share is at the moment you cannot rule out anything .

Do you think Cornerstone has been shown the yellow card for selling shares without offering to Solg first .

Maybe just maybe we are going up again .

Agreed rp, it's why I always try to make my assumptions explicit. The trouble at the moment is we are short on facts and long on possibilities. It leads to a huge range of views and no way to prove our disprove any of them. It's also why I have tried to keep my thinking high level. One of the remarkable things is that master investor, myself and DD have all independently arrived at around a 40p fair value once some of the key uncertainties are resolved. It's very unusual to get that sort of convergence when so little is certain.

I don't think DD is pessimistic..I'd rather him than Nasdaq Job any day...just needs to back up some opinions with facts or data...

This Board far better than LSE but it would be even better if views were backed up with facts or reasoned arguments rather than being flung out like confetti...whether bullish or bearish...

AIMHO as usual...

The old adage of give a man a fish / teach a man to fish, springs to mind. By getting an improved understanding of how mining finance works, we are better able to assess not just SOLG. Don't really mind that they have lower valuation expectations. There is enough raw material to apply your own ideas.

They normally tighten the spread around 9am or shortly after. Let’s see if they do today.

Pretty useless self styled analyst if you only ever see problems. Yes, I see all the burblings and make up my own mind. The eeyors give some idea of the lower end of the potential value range, that is all.

greenelf. Forget the pessimistic stance of DD and read the substance of their posts. He has far more mining finance experience than anyone else on the board. Phat and I may have a background in takeovers and valuations but mining is unique. He is providing a framework around which you can build your own view.

Correction, got my decimal point in the wrong place, it is, of course, 19m and not 2m. I suppose at that level they could move things.

You only see problems, ever. That is evident.I see opportunity in an undervalued and highly sought after mine. Nice problem to have.

Predicting financing. All that can be said has been said.. Its been stated that $150m is on the table in the short term. Its also been stated funding (long/short) will include a combination of take-off/streaming and equity or equity-like. Enough has been said on here to show the streaming is likely for the preliminary work and economic studies. No one can predict what the final construction and ramp-up package will look like, if only because we can't predict market and financing conditions 5 years ahead.. I've also said construction funding usually consists of project loans (60%-70%) of the total and the rest equity or similar (or farm-ins, or shares taken) by others - maybe BHP NewC in this case.
The only part anyone can even guess at this stage is the initial streaming deal. I've pointed to the Shylock-like Fruta del Norte one Anyone with the time can look through Lundin's MD&A at the time for the details - not always disclosed. I haven't the time.
I repeat. Only someone who doesn't understand a problem would expect someone else to solve it without the evidence he needs. For Solg and the future of copper - who can predict whether a funder will take a chance, or be cautious ? That's the nature of the problem.

Why do you think it's cornerstone? They sold some at least breakout without raising an RNS. The maximum number of shares they can sell is 2m, including those sold last time around. It is hardly going to move the market at that sort of volume.

Just normal trading, no need for panic and hysteria. Expecting promised immediate funding news today or tomorrow. We shall see after that.

ND & MK. There were no big trades yesterday, all relatively small and so unlikely to be insider knowledge. It is possible that they were driven by master investors article which actually mentions 22p as fair value currently. The other possibility is simply profit taking by those who bought during breakout. The lack of an announcement on the 150m is certainly not helping and if we don't get something this week, it won't reflect well on the board. As ND implies, it was the promise of the 150m and possibly more which propelled the price up. Fail to deliver and the board loses credibility and the share price tumbles. I still think it is near certain to be announced this week.
