Would it not be ( if possible) to get the finace news out on Monday . This should stop the institutions getting too many as the price may gap up very quickly giving them less time to build a stake.

Did anyone pick up on the webinar that Nick has appointed Citibank as bid defence advisors...?

He describes them as 'the best in the business'

So I guess he must be expecting the strong possibility of a bid, especially as he several times asserted how undervalued the company is...

Looks like a great presentation .... one I have helped bankers prepare in the day job.

Something like an information Memorandum before the sale of a business to interested parties - possibly to offtake bidders as well as potential takeover bidders.

It’s an investable project. They’re clearly highlighting that the shares are only trading at 0.1x NPV but in a normal market it’s between 20-30% so 40-60p.

That’s why I reckon takeover at 60p short term, or takeover at 75-100p before October. Gold will carry on rising, they will want to finish this quickly.

Phat...

it would be very good news because we then have complete control over Alpala...otherwise somebody else could buy CGP and its 15% stake and mess around...e.g. BHP...

CGP $2.59 and holding solid...up 26%...summat's going on...

AIMHO as usual...

Its possible they are in with BHp.

Also the timing of NM,s conference call to become buddies with the private investors is very interesting

Why the sudden change ? .

How many P I ,s can hold each and every day without taking something off the table .. especially when CV is making it difficult for many .

Then we are going to get bombarded with the trolls telling us everyday its overvalued and worse .

Agreed. But if I was a bidder, especially a hostile bidder, I would start stake-building and eventually have a lower average buyout price. If I lose to another bidder, atleast I make money on the shares...

Agree on institutional buying but not sure about why they would think a 40/50
BID would be accepted when the price was 40p .

I guess after the bid their shares would be well in the money. Thinking futher bids would be coming which of course would allow BHP to bid .

Yesterday c2m buys and today c3m buys.
This is institutional stake building and a way for potential
Bidders to build a stake by slowly making the share price rise instead of a straight off the bat 40p offer. I think it will continue next week and post funding news when they will Bid something like 40-50p for the remaining “90% of SOLG shares” lol

Phat

I have always assumed that it is beneficial in that it makes our package simpler and
thus more attractive to the big boys.

Nothing needs to happen on Monday for the price to keep rising. Going through resistance will be enough to keep an upward trajectory.

Ridiculous that in this day and age we can't get a true Buy or Sell.
We have to go on gut feelings, my gut says this is being held back.
Doubt this will fall back at close. That's what my gut tells me.
