04/2/2020 09:15 | I think it is very strange how many posters seem to expect an almost weekly RNS update when it comes to junior miners which is not the case when it comes to the FSTE100 miners. | ![]() loganair
04/2/2020 09:12 | There's also IG Index changing their rules demanding much higher deposit margins, so there could well be a forced closing of positions for some people. | ![]() lefrene
04/2/2020 09:08 | I think its more todo with investors peed off with the company missing deadlines. Throw in a news blackout for nearly a year and you are going to upset a few | ![]() mknight
04/2/2020 08:27 | I would say more to do with Solgold is a mining stock and due to the continuing spread of the novo virus sentimental is against mining stocks at the moment especially as Copper has had its longest losing streak on record. | ![]() loganair
04/2/2020 08:22 | Nasty little drop first thing...... are we being shorted, or is this the mms trying to invoke panic selling in anticipation of some exceptionally good news ....... who knows! | hickersp
03/2/2020 17:46 | As the lack of news is possibly that there are negotiations going on, just think how you would feel if you were not holding when the deal is done. | ![]() arcadian
03/2/2020 17:37 | Hard to keep holding this. Been here for years but starting to lose a bit faith. Please give me some positives to hang in here!! | ![]() markth126
02/2/2020 12:17 | sold out and into greatland,far better returns | johncasey
31/1/2020 13:55 | Just conjecture here (IF SOLG make a bid)... I doubt that Cornerstone will want to exchange for SOLG shares, they need the money and have other stuff to get on with. So my guess is this will be a cash offer for Cornerstone Ecuador S.A which will help Cornerstone with their own debt. My guess would be an initial offer of £40 to £50 million cash - perhaps £60. Maybe we are offered 2 shares for every 10 we own at say a price of 15p. (rights issue) But SOLG better crack on because the price is heading that way already. | shabadi
31/1/2020 13:45 | Thank you pob69, at last a glimmer of light via DGR, not that it has done anything for the share price | ![]() lefrene
31/1/2020 10:47 | Well I guess that depends on whether the 15% adds less, the same, or more value..... | ![]() plentymorefish
31/1/2020 09:06 | Will there be a 'rights issue' or dilution of shares ? How much will that 15% cost you ? | shabadi
31/1/2020 08:05 | New DGR quarterly activity report offers the following update for Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador "Upcoming" and "completing" are the new "imminent"... "Over 201,930 metres resource drilling now assayed ahead of upcoming third Mineral Resource update (MRE#3). "Completing formal documentation for the bid for the share capital of Cornerstone in Explorationes Novomining SA (ENSA) which holds the Cascabel concession in which the Alpala resource is located, of which SolGold holds a registered and beneficial interest of 85%." | ![]() pob69
29/1/2020 22:30 | Some interesting board changes at Newcrest. May have implicatioons for Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador? "Finally, Newcrest is also pleased to announce the promotion of Seil Song into the Chief Development Officer role with effect from 15 March. Seil is currently Newcrest’s General Manager – Business Development, and will replace Michael Nossal who will also retire from Newcrest at the end of March. Seil has contributed strongly to Newcrest’s growth strategy since joining the company in April 2017, helping build a significant pipeline of growth opportunities including the acquisition of a 70% operating interest in the Red Chris operation in Canada and Newcrest’s equity interest in Lundin Gold." “Michael Nossal can take great pride in the significant positive impact he has had on our growth agenda over almost five years. He has overseen the acquisition of our interests in SolGold, Lundin Gold and Red Chris, the establishment and extension of our interests in Ecuador, the establishment of the Project Delivery Group, and the creation of a strong pipeline of exploration projects and growth options.” Chief Operating Officer (PNG) – Craig Jones is also on the Executive Committee (and he of course is Newcrest's rep on the Solgold board) | ![]() pob69
28/1/2020 17:30 | Goldrush Thanks for that , he wont want to say goodbye to them . AT 60P he would pick up 4.2 million if sold . seems to me the price we are at cannot last for too long ..will try and pickup another 100k asap. | ![]() mknight
28/1/2020 17:08 | mknioght As you say a Billion buys the lot. Obviously Nicks options at 60 p won't be in the money......the only one's will be those at 40p....21m of them but they expire 4/4/2020 !! So not long to get the deal done !! | ![]() goldrush
28/1/2020 15:05 | Not only money but jobs , educación hospitals etc etc . | ![]() mknight
28/1/2020 15:00 | Expanding the mining sector in Ecuador will bring in money in to the government coffers which in turn will help to bring about more stability for the country. | ![]() loganair
28/1/2020 14:46 | Not sure they cannot take what for them is a small risk . If Solg gets funding and starts proving up half of Ecuador then it may be too late for them . As we are today a billón buys the lot . | ![]() mknight
28/1/2020 12:02 | As these are miners and not Wall St Banks they won't get bailed out by the FED if they get it wrong! So probably less of a gunslinger approach in the mining world, but yes I agree Arcadian this would be a good time to pounce if you've got cash in place. But most likely the decision makers will be careerists, so they will likely be more concerned about ticking boxes than opportunistic pouncing. | ![]() lefrene
28/1/2020 11:39 | For those with cash, cool heads, an eye to the future and a sense of irony this would be a good time to make an offer. | ![]() arcadian
28/1/2020 11:04 | Plainly there's a 'Mexican' stand off in play, and yes goldrush I'm sure you are correct, that the players are waiting for scale and confirmation of the resource to be confirmed before showing their hand. Perhaps a grab for CGP will be the starting gun? The current virus scare in China has depressed copper prices, will this bring forward any opportunistic offers? | ![]() lefrene
28/1/2020 10:26 | It was publically available earlier though sadly not now. | ![]() pob69
28/1/2020 10:25 | lefrene If MRE3 has a major uplift in quantities to "indicated" and maybe some "measured" then that is big news and what we want from all the drilling. IMHO that is what the Big Boys want to see. I don't have a schedule to hand which shows that indicated resources are valued something like 3 times more than inferred ones. | ![]() goldrush
28/1/2020 10:14 | Thank you pob69, but the page is "access denied". But thanks for posting your extract, it would seem it's only a matter of time before interested parties reveal their hand. Perhaps waiting for the first feasibility study? As these will all be big players they likely have access to their own funding, thus presumably they won't need to wait upon a Bankable Feasibility Study? | ![]() lefrene |
