Think the unanimous view, and thereby possibly wrong, is that copper is going to be in huge demand as we decarbonise, that supply is falling as existing mines become less productive, that new resource, apart from a gigantic mine in Mongolia and ATYMs potential expansion, a shameless plug of my other holdings,are limited means that something like SOLGOLD is a potential goldmine.Sorry, couldn't resist but behind the almost unintelligent sentence is a serious poin. This is a good hol.

Perhaps because no one is going to want to put up capital to extract something that is falling in value? It might be as much as five years off, but a favourable trajectory is a desirable thing.

As the Alpala mine is not due to open for 5 years I am staggered at just how many posters seem to be concerned about what the current Copper price.

But copper does seemed to have firmed up a bit along with gold too, perhaps 2020 will finally be the year when commodities spring to life and that mythical impending copper shortage comes of age.

NM will continue to hold his cards close to his chest regardless of Christmas, I haven't got the bloke down as being sentimental. Bring me the head of CGP though might be on my wish list if he were. This thing will drag on until NM grinds the other barstewards down, but at least gold and copper might have turned a corner now, and that should raise interest from those who believe the commodity cycle is turning upwards. The elephant in the room though is the FED buying the REPO market wholesale, because many Banks have stopped trusting each other.
