Proactive Investors - Relatively shallow visible gold in core, and high grade rock chip sample results across an extensive area with historic artisanal mining at the Blanca prospect provide early encouragement for the future potential of the Blanca project as exploration advances. The location in close proximity to Cascabel, where Solgold has already delineated an indicated mineral resource of 2bn tonnes at an average copper equivalent grade of 0.6% and a further 900mt of inferred resource at a grade of 0.35% copper equivalent, as well as other exploration projects across Ecuador demonstrates Solgold’s capacity to build on its experience at Cascabel to identify other targets and its local operating credentials to move them forward effectively.

Porvenir has scout drilling liciences as well...interesting from todays RNS.

Seems strange we never had an RNS on this when the permits were awarded..

What else has been held back from us ?

BHP bought its stake in Solgold at a premium and therefore I feel confident in saying if their is another Placing, Solgold will also be able to get it a way at a premium to the prevailing share price.

mam - Nothing grim if you are a true investor with a 10 year time horizon.

Thanks alwaysevoling.

I just think the amount of monies needed for next year is lower than i thought so the dilution will also be less than i thought.

Given these numbers even if we had a placing at 18p the Maximum dilution Would be 10 percent for 40 million dollars

The share price Would imho rise very quickly once Mre3 due before the end of December is realeased.

Mknight,

you say you feel this is as low as the share price can drop. Without news on funding I can see it going lower personally.

You then say that if we get funding news next week you can see us back at 30p by Christmas. The “If” is the problem with that I’m afraid. Also what form the funding takes of course.

But like I said, I do hope it turns out that you are correct.

The share price will do what it wants but at 350 million irá bloody cheap if we only need 30 million dollars .

125 million shares at 25p will sort that out .

I would not be surprised to see the share price fall further due to the contagion of what is happening in Chile which had been South American's most stable and prosperous country over the past 10 years.

Then of course there was the strikes etc in Ecuador a few months ago which caused the share price to fall by 50%.

Been pretty grim for us long term holders.
How much longer can we hold on.
Who, what or why is price languishing @ this level?
If I knew the answer I would tell you.

One way or the other this has to break soon !!!! I have a reasonable amount invested here as one of my GOLD plays. I have been tempted to take a loss all the way from 31p which is where I got in. But the news seems to get better as the price declines !!! I am staying put !!

That is a LOT of gold at Blanca, a lot.
I hold Kirkland Lake and the grades shown so far at these veins are massively more than Macassa. (22g/t).
If proved-up this will be worth a large fortune in 10 years or so.

Ecuador’s El Dorado: be brave and beat the crowd to the boom

"....Riskier, but with more upside, is London-listed SolGold (LSE: SOLG), the only UK-listed Ecuadorian pure play. The firm’s main target is 85%-owned Alpala, which it expects to turn into an operating mine by 2024. But it also has the most extensive exploration portfolio in the country with 11 more targets identified, of which the company expects five more to become mines.

If you do decide to invest you’ll be in good company, as majors BHP Billiton and Newcrest have already bought big stakes in SolGold. Moreover, the recent sell-off means you can pick up SolGold for 20p a share – a big saving on the 45p that BHP paid.

If you want to take a broader approach you could take stakes in a range of Canada-listed, Ecuador-focused explorers and hope that one or two pan out. In this context, consider Cornerstone Capital Resources (TSX-Venture Exchange: CGP), which owns 15% of the Alpala project."
