05/11/2019 15:48 | Maybe of longer term geopolitical interest from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs who met Ecuadorian Foreign Minister at start of month. Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador. Wang Yi and Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Valencia co-chaired the diplomatic and political consultations between the two countries... "...The two sides should consolidate political mutual trust, will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year, and push the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Ecuador to a new level..." | ![]() pob69
05/11/2019 14:46 | Thanks for feedback! Here's a recent video of NED Liam Twigger Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador. Worth noting he is also presenting at Mines and Money London 25/11 Mining Investment Opportunities: | ![]() pob69
05/11/2019 09:44 | Another gem of a find Pob69. As always really appreciate your excellent research and the sharing of which on this board. I particularly like this bit - “Twigger, who also established PCF’s online subsidiary Mines Online, cites Golden Gateway, a joint venture with partially state owned Zhaojin Mining ($5.5B Market capitalisation) that helps identify mining investment opportunities for Chinese companies and investors among the company’s proudest recent achievements.” A Man it seems who has experience in helping Chinese companies and investors find mining investments! One has to wonder if this is one of the reasons he was brought onto the board of SOLG? Some sudden interest from the Chinese would I’m sure make the likes of BHP / Newcrest sit up and take note? | ![]() alwaysevolving
05/11/2019 07:43 | An interesting article with our new NED Liam Twigger Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador Twigger joined forces with a colleague to form PCF Capital, an organisation that would become a national leader in mining sales and strategic advisory... WWe are the number one player in Australia.” Twigger, who also established PCF’s online subsidiary Mines Online, cites Golden Gateway, a joint venture with partially state owned Zhaojin Mining ($5.5B Market capitalisation) that helps identify mining investment opportunities for Chinese companies and investors among the company’s proudest recent achievements. “It is about having the best accounting practices, but it still comes down to humans,” says Twigger, who recently joined the board of copper and gold mining company SolGold. “A lot of it is about the social licence to operate, about diversity and inclusivity. The old corporate ethos focusing on shareholder returns and profit is giving way to a broader set of goals that are more aligned with the impact on the environment, fairness and equity. | ![]() pob69

31/10/2019 07:25 | Please excuse my ignorance on their, but I see we have a PEA filed but no feasibility study or FID info yet. Has the company yet indicated when such a report will be commissioned? I know they take some time to complete. Also sitting on an investment in GGP who are a long long way behind SOLG so I need to calculate if I have enough years left!! | ![]() telbap
30/10/2019 23:41 | Interesting watching CGP going down since the spring, $7, $6 etc now just above $2. I am wondering how big the debt is to SOLG (and still growing) compared to their company valuation. I think CGP market cap is CAD$66M, they are debt carried to the extent of 15% of the SOLG exploration expenditure which comes home to roost when a bankable feasibility study is produced - at least thats my understanding, happy to be corrected. Gonna be a big bill when it arrives, or I think SOLG can buy it out for $7.5M, they sure wouldn't want to wait for the payment out of production that could be years. Just some thoughts ... | ![]() noccer
30/10/2019 21:42 | So, so true. Reached the three score years and 10 myself. Not, may I add, a pleasant experience. But i live in hope that i will see Solg reach £££s. | ![]() mam fach
30/10/2019 18:24 | A freudian slip there lefrene ? | shabadi
30/10/2019 13:00 | telbap, there will be lots going on behind the scenes, mostly to do with raising the finance for exploitation and also to do with sorting out the CGP 15% holding. Once the finance is sorted CGP will need to raise their 15% contribution and that might be the catalyst for CGP tom do a deal. Once the finance is sorted we will also likely see BHP and Newcrest also show their hand. This is the pot that never seems to come to the boil, but the resource is too big and potentially profitable to ignore, especially in a country that badly needs foreign income. Although of course some of us might well be dead before they get around to it. | ![]() lefrene
30/10/2019 12:53 | Telebap Agreed . Might be that Newcrest made some comments that they were happy with their holding . Some took this to mean they were playing hardball. I think NM can get whatever he needs from many different sources. After all SOLG own the largest mine in the world with payback at 3 years. | ![]() mknight
30/10/2019 12:43 | The RNS of the 28th should have sent this back to the 30s . There must still be genuine concern over the geographical location of the Solg discoveries.I am invested and intend to stay with it until the end, but jeez, like watching paint dry! | ![]() telbap
30/10/2019 10:21 | We have had 1 positive day from a negative start to the day in the past 24 working days. We have had 12 negative days from a positive start to the day in the past 24 days. BHP AND NEWCREST controlling this. | ![]() francoismyname
