Thanks for that. I believe that self styled "Master Investor" is overly pessimistic as he worries about costs and has not recognised the growing shortage of copper and the rivalry that will ensue as supplies become scarce. The gold alone is worth $20 billion assuming $5billion start up costs and $3-400 per OZ mining costs.
Copper prices and world confidence are holding this back but they can change quickly witness today`s rises following a gesture by China. A trade deal if it happens will change the world`s perspective and our fortunes with it.

PS Some drilling permits or other news from NM will transform the currant malaise.

"awkward stake held by TSX Cornerstone Resources which Solgold says it wants to buy because it is blocking the corporate deals it might otherwise make. "

'So I can’t see much in the near future that will spur the shares higher – unless copper recovers sharply or the major shareholders subscribe for more (once out of their ‘standstill217; periods), which is unlikely to be at a price higher than the 35-40p levels we’ve seen before. So I expect the shares to stay trading in the 20p-40p range, although they are currently testing the base. (Chart nerds would probably agree.)

In the very long term, it is worth bearing in mind that finding Cascabel, with the big share jump it engendered, is not bad for what was just a gleam in Solgold’s (and the market’s) eye only four years ago when the shares were sub 3p. So, if just one of the 12 other prospects start to show a possible second Cascabel, they could see another surge.

And for reasons I’ve already mentioned, any more such Cascabels will probably have to be hived off separately, probably to existing shareholders. So who knows? In ten years’ time (as long as it took Ivanhoe Mines to prove up the giant Oyu Tolgoi copper mine in Mongolia, now controlled by Rio Tinto) today’s Solgold shareholders might have a portfolio of five or six ‘CascabelsR17; – each as large as Solgold today!

Will turn on a six pence though.

The market is corrupt and the city spivvs know a lot more whats going in the background than we do.

I suppose it comes down to the question, would I short it at this level? Well I wouldn't have the bottle to.

ntbb, I don't know what it was, but it must have been well North of the 45p paid for their holding. Far more resource has been revealed since then. I'm guessing silence will reign here until the day Newcrest come out of purdah.
