Totally agree - mknight should apologise for calling me lowlife scum. I was never rude to him or anyone else and simply took an opposite view.

NM has plenty of skin in the game, but we don't know if he wants to sell at some point, or whether he is on an ego driven mission to become a major mining corporation himself. He might be sitting on discovery information to avoid being taken out on the cheap too early? But then I suspect the likes of BHP and Newcrest have their own spies sniffing around Ecuador finding out what's happening on the ground.

I certainly hope that holding onto so much information is in the shareholder's best interests, though I very much doubt that is uppermost in NM's mind!

Lowtrawler I agree. We will be the last to know why so much information is being sat on, one can only trust that whatever the game plan is, it is in the shareholders best interests. Meanwhile all the known reasons for holding are still in place, the vast resource, favourable infrastructure/location, and two majors with sizeable holdings. Gold rising is a help, one expects copper to follow in due course.

gary - regards selling up and buying back lower.

Exactly right - I have sold up and will consider buying back in low 20's.

mknight - just dropped into see how your short term prediction of 35p was coming along - ouch. Miss leading other investors with your crazy unsubstantiated ramping.

You are the worst kind if scum.

Unlike some other shares, it's completely impossible to predict the short term price movement for SOLG. I've simply adopted a buy and hold strategy and am attempting to avoid looking at things any more frequently than fortnightly. I still think there are only 2 pieces of news which will drive this permanently higher - takeover or funding. As private investors, we will be the last to hear on either of these and so will miss out if we aren't already in.I have no idea what caused the recent higher volume and price rise and have no idea why that suddenly stopped. We are back to the previous state of affairs with low volume and steady drift downwards.

Agree francois,

Trouble seems to be that there are no buyers. Maybe price been pushed down to get people to buy.

Or just MMs playing games. It's time will come, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Never ceases to amaze me.

400k shares traded at 25p today which equates to £100k of trades.

Now even if we assume they are all sells , this has caused a near 5% drop on a near 500m market cap company or £25m

And they say it’s a fair market !!!!!!

Looks like it will be testing 22p level this week, bounced last time, to 27p, guys should have sold up then, and be buying back in again at lower level, will 22p hold this time?

MKN Its in the chart of cash flows page 410 of the PEA ! Together with DFS end 2020 (the first time anyone can start detailed planning or funding) construction start not likely for at least a further year. Then 5 years to build.

As lucker5 said takes 5 years to build a plant, this size, will be lucky to be in production by 2030, solgold never get anythink on time, and wont start the plant till at least 2021.

MKN Construction is planned to take 5 years. Production in year 6. Final planning and funding won't happen until well after the BFS end 2020. You're looking at 2027-28 before first profitable revenues.

Why would copper have any effect on solgold share price, they are at least 7 or 8 years away from getting it out of the ground, and theres still a big if, if it ever goes to ptoduction.

Copper has bottomed out imo,its going up slowly but surely, all these electric cars being built around the world will demand copper more then ever and not to mention the war torn countries

Copper down past week on a daily basis , Solgold went down

Copper up 3% yesterday, Solgold still down.

So much for the price of copper being the determining link to share price.
