How long is a piece of a string !
My thoughts exactly - sell off Alpala keep the rest.

I'm sure NM would only want to sell Alpala, and retain the other prospects. So if Alpala holds circa $100 billion of metal and enjoys copious water and nearby grid power, just what percentage of $100bn is Alpala worth? 3% to 5%?

I'm not a week holder.
No less than £1-90.

If I had designs on SOL I would lend my shares ( thus remaining a shareholder) to a shorter and try to ensure that the share price did not run away for a while until I was more sure of the situation. I would also ensure that BBs such as this were monitored to gauge the offer price which would be acceptable to weak holders. Fortunately for us NM is made of sterner stuff and knows the value of the present and future assets.

Very true. But can't fathom why share price wouldn't be at least 45p.

Fortunately BHP and other major shareholders are more optimistic as are many brokers and analysts.

None of this is reflected in the share price.
That is worrying.
Makes me think others don't have confidence or vision we do.

Perhaps Mr Trumps latest meeting with Mr Xi will get demand for metals picking up before too long? Evidently BHP have the mythical copper drought beast in the lens of their telescope! NM just has to keep holding those cards a little closer to his chest, for just a bit longer. Playing a blinder so far despite the market seemingly ganging up on him.

The future`s bright; the future`s BHP?

Just finished reading my IC but then noticed page 5 which is a full page advert. by BHP which to me shows how fixated the company is with copper and how it sees copper as the must have mineral. They are not alone.

"At BHP it is our job to supply the resources the big thinkers need to improve the world. Like the copper needed to build everything from wind turbines to electric cars. And the demand keeps growing"

Thank goodness NM know this too.

Could be an institution buying a few

It has to happen if the net worth is 100 billion at the moment with another 20 per cent to come which will give them 120 billion . Costs around 5 billion seems like at 660 million its just too cheap.
