Last night, there was an article relating to BHP & the Belt & Road - Copper. In today*s Solgold RNS, 5 Oct 2018, the co mentioned BHP saying they need to replenish their reserves?

So, SAY , if BHP were to pay a "premium", I would not mind. After all, Newcrest was keen to buy into Solgold and paid a premium.

That would be just great since it was reported that the Solgold share price has gone up 70% since the BHP news of buying 6.1% of Solgold shares.

From John Meyer, maybe, it is BHP making the suggestions [indirectly?] or impliedly via some casual remark or that*s the industry way ?

After all, the updated MRE is expected to increase and therefore, Liberum may have to revaluate further just as National Bank update their target price today.

Just have to wait for the next move by the majors or otherwise?

Does anyone remember the share price ANGEL interview with IG Index recently? In that interview relating to Solgold, John Meyer, Analyst and Partner of share price Angel said that BHP could offer the co $20-30m or $30-40m [others can check the exact range]. At the time, I would wondering in what context?

Seems a bit clear with today*s National Bank broker note?

Not saying it is or not but just bringing it out for further discussion. Pl re-check.

They should have another £10M in the bank from the options exercise by the end of this month so doubt they will do a placing. More likely the structured fundraising NM has been flagging up on several occasions.

Given NMs track record I very much doubt he would have stated on several occasions recently that the Upcoming MRE would double if he wasn’t 100% confident that it would be ‘at least’ that.

Why would he take that risk if he didn’t know for sure? It would be suicide and logic as well as his track record dictates he simply wouldn’t do that.

I’m confident it will be at the very least double and then some when it lands in December.

It never works like that, you pass the hat round when there is a good bit of news in the pipeline. Buy now and the news to come will make it worth it.
Last time the raising was just over a month before the MRE. Same again this time.

If they need more funds I hope they do something that doesn’t dilute PIs. Fed up with these placings. Rights issue, sell stake at premium to industry but no more discounted placings please.

If they intend passing the hat around again, then plainly they need to get all the good news that they can into the arena first.

Balanced between fear and greed today. The National bank of Canada note states fund raising in this quarter.I think most probably in the next 2 weeks. This is the fear, at what discount will it be - last time was.about 20%, but will current excitement allow them to get it.away at a smaller discount?

The greed comes from the last 2 notes from Liberium and NBoC at 69p and 56p. Both allow for considerable further upside. One being based on MRE1 x 1.5 - I expect MRE x 2 to 2.5. The other based on an NPV of $1.5billion and NM expecting an NPV of $4billion.

Well I doubt the majority will be checking page 12 of the annual report and NM was keen in his last few global presentations to say that it was coming November so slightly irritating but in the grand scheme of developments not an earth shattering delay.

I agree that the industry will get 64. But the mkt is being valued by PIs atm. Sadly not instos and atm not by bhp/Newcrest st al.
I will be buying at 32 or on a bid. Otherwise just waiting for Nov or Dec or whenever....

jerryspaniel, I'm sure BHP understand hole 64. Since the value here is down to the interest of would be miners, I feel that the people who really count understand very well what's on offer and how it is evolving. It's for NM to get the stock out of the cellar, pile it high and put it on display.

No,I don't have to be a shareholder.
But I'M a believer.
Pity an RNS doesn't move share price as it once did.
Said many, many times = hold on to your shares.
Also, it's not too late to buy.

Maybe This needed to go out for the options trading that is upcoming but it’s been overtaken by NM saying he expects doubling of resources in mre. I don’t think that mkt understands relevance of hole 64 and this hasn’t helped. So all in all bit of damp squib.
