09/8/2016 10:57 | Billthebank yep no problem at all to bring 10 billion tonnes of ore up 3000m and process it all!!! This is a very very expensive project. The MAXIT transaction IF it happens looks all related party transaction based. I don't think we can read much into it. This looks like it has run up way way too much and folk buying here are in for a nasty shock. | loglorry1
09/8/2016 10:53 | The only problem we have is that the Gold is pretty deep down there but at the present price of gold deffo worth getting out of the ground well Maxit think so anyway and mining is there area of expertise after all | billthebank
09/8/2016 10:51 | A cubic metre, roughly the same as a tonne. Let the "rampathon" begin :¬) Yes a long long way to go bandflex, and it may come to nothing if a tier 1 miner can't be convinced of the business case. | lefrene
09/8/2016 10:38 | long, long way to go yet lefrene, lets no encourage a rampathon. Have to admit I don't know what a cube is. | bandflex
09/8/2016 10:33 | bandflex, if there really were 10Bt at a valuation circa $50 a cube, it would have Solg at circa $40 a share? Sounds crazy, but also mouth watering. | lefrene
09/8/2016 10:08 | Well I got in at 5.8 last week topped up at 7.1 yesterday and 2 more buys at 7.3 and 6.75 In here because of the MAXIT potential Will revisit at 12/15p range | yufff
09/8/2016 10:04 | "...with potential to contain in excess of 10Bt of copper-gold mineralisation." That's a lovely figure to play with when you consider the grades they have achieved so far. Of course it doesn't mean much until all the drilling is completed and grades are known. Its all looking positive for the long term. | bandflex
09/8/2016 10:00 | wonder if anyone got in @ 6.5? | billthebank
09/8/2016 09:39 | No point in selling at all presently The placing I believe will be fully subscribed and possibly the extra as well. Maxit are no mugs and have been quick off the mark to agree this deal Their 6% reward is coming in the shape of warrants which are only worth executing at approximately double and triple the present share price I am sure that this Canadian company have a portfolio of clients they will be recommending this share to They are an Independent Financial Advisory company and with luck can you imagine what would happen if they have an II who is interested. The 6.4p is around the placing price so an opportunity to buy in at the same price that Maxit will be marketing SOLG in Canada. This means all present shareholders over here can't moan that they did not have the opportunity to buy in at similar levels. All good IMO. Caveat Emptor of course. | billthebank
09/8/2016 09:17 | What Log? It's just profit taking, in the usual way. Short term overbought and simply coming back into line with the moving averages - which are rising rapidly. Re-load, and FIRE! gla | nofool
09/8/2016 09:09 | It's just the MM's doing their thing loglorry1 and shaking out a few of yesterdays buyers. The resource appears to be huge, possibly in the billions of cubic metres, and as for depth 'box cutting' means that they can come in from the side of the mountain. Not cheap, but doable if the price is worth it. This has come from 1.6p so it has already made good money for some people. | lefrene
09/8/2016 08:56 | Looks like perhaps this raise at 6p isn't going quite to plan. Now folk are starting to realise that the resource is very very deep, stranded and will take huge capex to develop they might not be so keen to take part in the raise at such a huge valuation. Log | loglorry1
08/8/2016 14:11 | www.riotinto.com/our Title:" Ten things to know about the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Project."- Rio Tinto. Quote: "3)Oyu Tolgoi*s open pit mine has been producing copper since 2013. The underground development will unlock 80% of the value of the project. First production from the underground phase is anticipated in 2020, when copper markets are expected to be in deficit." Note: This is about deep rocks. Why bring in Oyu Tolgoi into the conversation with Solgold? Deep rocks [as it is being termed] in discussion is about underground mining. Secondly, July 6, 2016 Solgold RNS mentions Oyu Tolgoi. Kindly check - just to add to conversation only in general. | jlondon
08/8/2016 13:36 | I also take the view that Maxit will not be in the business of stuffing out their clients just for a short term gain. But patience as ever is required since the money raised is to acquire bigger better faster drills, these will have to be deployed and results measured to further prove the resource. Only once the quality and scope of the site is proven will any major make a move. Then there is the extraction and logistics cost to be considered, before the horse trading starts. Could be another year or two before much of that happens. | lefrene
08/8/2016 12:39 | I also looked at The Maxit deal Nad they clearly have confidence in the company and I guess that as a leading Independent Financial Adviser in The Mining Industry in Canada they will have performed some due diligence on SOLG They will receive 6% on the successful completion of the placing and it will be in the form of warrants at 14p and 28p!!! So I am IN!!!! Time will tell if this is blind optimism. SOLG has been in the high 20s before and I guess they may have been some dilution since then but for now the story sounds good and the way the share price has reacted early doors would not be surprised to see 10p this week. Having said that i wouldnt not invest a large sum but deffo has some potential. NAI DYOR of course | billthebank
08/8/2016 12:08 | Interesting gersemi have to say. Isnt completely knocking the project just stating his point of view that the fantastic results are a lot deeper underground than he would like. Recognises that SOLG is in a good position financially and ok doesnt like equador?? Look we arent exactly talking about a high value company at the moment and of course SOLG is not only about Equador!!!? The share price is deffo moving along today as interest builds up after recent RNS's Long overdue. Alos notice that this company always seems to mirror MARL very often A company I also have dipped in and out of. Lets see what the rest of the week brings not to mention that today isnt too shabby. Must look at the chart to see what's next unless anyone already looked? | billthebank
08/8/2016 11:28 | Quite so sbanto, and neatly timed too just as the company is raising new funds! Of course it has to be for purely altruistic reasons. Does Solg have many disgruntled ex-employee's? | lefrene
08/8/2016 11:17 | Looks as though good news is close IMO I'm enjoying the rise!! | moormoney
08/8/2016 11:15 | Who posts an article they haven't even read?????? | sbanto
08/8/2016 11:09 | I don't deramp stocks. I saw the article and posted it. I haven't even read it though I am encouraged that you can think I have the power and influence to move stocks with my postings. I am as irrelevant as the next man, even more so gl | gersemi
08/8/2016 11:03 | Wanted this morning despite the best efforts of gersemi. | lefrene
08/8/2016 00:09 | Now there's someone who has an agenda! 8426 | lefrene
05/8/2016 11:36 | Haha true, today's rise has just paid for my next years one already, cheap as chips over here, pretty warm too | dodd5y |
