25/8/2016 12:09 | After noon rally 9.75p 🤒 | glenkaz
25/8/2016 11:51 | Thank you kindly for the flattery uni-hall, but alas it's all just a guess. However the rns tells us that we have the money,(presumably at the 8cents a share?) that a previous recent lender has been happy to convert their loan to shares (a big plus in my view) and, that others want to partake in a 2nd tranche at a price yet to be agreed. We are also said to be talking to large miners who have put their yardsticks over place, so about as good as it gets for a tidily prospector. OK one might argue that a market cap of £70 million is a bit hyped for a serial loss making prospector, but then if that site in Ecuador does turn out to be several cubic kilometres of mineable grade ore, the sky is the limit. | lefrene
25/8/2016 11:37 | Could be, lefrene, it just caught my attention as it stood aloof from 1 & 2 , I'm only recently here just trying to figure it out. So far so good, thanks for your thoughts. | paleje
25/8/2016 11:15 | As ever, a brilliant assessment by lefrene imo. C'mon POG. | uni hall
25/8/2016 11:08 | I see no mention of the price of the placing in that RNS. I wonder how much they got done at 8c ? | loglorry1
25/8/2016 11:03 | paleje, it's speculation but are they talking joint development? Naturally a big miner if convinced there was a major deposit would want to get a stake as cheaply as possible, which means getting in early. This is where NM justifies his fancy salary by getting the best deal possible for his share holders. At least in this instance he does have a big stake himself and thus every reason to fight for the best deal. At least the business now has the money to more swiftly prove up the resource, and it is not on the back foot beholden to a bully to be able to continue it's activities. So perhaps a bit of a Mexican stand off might ensue, as each party pursues it's own interests. My guess is that the longer the deal takes, then the better able Solg will be to prove how big and rich this prospect is. I'm going to sit on this until the fat lady sings. | lefrene
25/8/2016 10:52 | Doing well no. | would be rude not to
25/8/2016 10:41 | RampBut good | brx7
25/8/2016 10:37 | Aside from the strong demand for Tranche 2, what about the final paragraph in the RNS, are they talking additional funding here with a gold major, over and above Tranches 1&2? :- Third Party Corporate Interest SolGold has entered into a number of Confidentiality Agreements with unassociated third party major international mining companies, and several of these have conducted detailed due diligence and project site reviews. SolGold is, as a result, in advanced negotiations for the potential participation of a major international gold mining company in SolGold's capital raising initiatives, and the Company hopes to be able to update the market further on these developments shortly. | paleje
25/8/2016 10:21 | Great RNS. | bettsspitefire
25/8/2016 10:19 | Boooooom! 🤑 | glenkaz
25/8/2016 10:18 | Good to see the financing update. Yes, key sentence for me re the option for more shares: "In this regard, the Board is pleased to advise that demand for the Second Tranche has been strong from a number of major international mining and resource investment funds." Placing price for this option still to be agreed. | pecker1
25/8/2016 10:15 | All going to plan and some big hitters wanting in on the proposed 2nd tranche, according to the rns. | lefrene
25/8/2016 09:15 | Look what I've done then! | would be rude not to
25/8/2016 08:10 | No RNS no placement no cash. I thought these guys were eager to throw cash at SOLG? | loglorry1
24/8/2016 20:05 | I'm quite happy with this. | meanwhile back at the ranch
24/8/2016 18:14 | Maxit Capital are based in Toronto, I can't see pertinent information being released until at least the close of play there, and possibly not until the West Coast has finished their day? I expect to see an rns tomorrow, given that the new deadline was today. As the deadline has been brought forward it suggests that the fund raising was well received. Perhaps some of those putting money in the pot are potential partners? I just want see those drills working asap and proving up that the site is huge and rich. | lefrene
24/8/2016 17:14 | @lefrene you think? I've never heard of waiting for the exchange to close where you think most of the investors are from. More likely they'll sneak out an RNS after close on Friday saying they've missed the goal in my opinion. | loglorry1
24/8/2016 16:27 | I suspect they will wait for the close in the Canada exchanges, as that is likely to be where the sought money is being raised. | lefrene
24/8/2016 16:23 | Who here thinks we'll see a SOLG RNS today after hours about raising the money they said they would? | loglorry1
24/8/2016 07:35 | Wasn't the MAXIT transaction meant to close today? | loglorry1
23/8/2016 19:11 | Should hear tomorrow about the Maxit placing. While the funding is good news I can't help wondering what will happen to the 270 million(and maybe millions more from the option) new SOLG shares that will come onto the market. Much as I would like these new shareholders to be l-t investors, I expect a fair proportion will sell within the next few months so any price spikes are likely to be short-lived. My hope is that the news flow will be so strong that it will overcome this overhang as new buyers step in. | pecker1
23/8/2016 14:24 | I suspect that pog will keep rising as it becomes increasingly evident that paper currencies are baseless. I doubt that the Euro can be saved, southern Europe needs to reset to get itself out of a very deep hole. Perhaps next time Euroland tries a single currency they will also realise that you need a single taxation system to make it work. In the meantime, if the world takes to leccy cars it will need a lot of copper. | lefrene
23/8/2016 13:47 | Meanwhile lefrene, a rising POG can only help our cause. | uni hall |
