06/5/2020 19:19 | I also picked up on “we have the money” and “financiers are throwing money at us” but the main thing he wanted was to get the permits pushed. Rene Ortiz did my head in though - I tho k he loves Nick and wants SOLG to be the next BHP. BHP must be getting itchy feet to bid but I think we are well positioned as we are. Let’s do the funding announcement if “we have the money” Nick. He also mentioned interest rates being very low - I think it’s gonna be a convertible bond job. Price? Anyone’s guess. SHARE PRICE UP TMRW. | phattrader1

06/5/2020 19:02 | Placing? At a figure lower than closing price? To manage it down? | markth126
06/5/2020 18:53 | Anyone want to speculate why we had 64x2000ish trades from 16.19 to the close . Only 128k but very strange and managed to drop the Sp by more than a penny . | mknight
06/5/2020 18:27 | Pob as ever--thank you. | arcadian
06/5/2020 18:05 | Thanks for that Pob69. The way i read the situation is NM has no problems with Alpala and the government will sign whatever is needed to make sure the funding has government Backing and assurance . Not sure about the other 72 permits . We need to know what permits we have and what we dont . | mknight
06/5/2020 17:54 | Now for something more valuable than "banter" Really robust commentary and passion from the Minister Rene Ortiz during his presentation $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador Industrial Mining will be Ecuadors new "Export Icon" as they cannot afford not to develop this resource in the new global normal especially with the price changes for gold and oil, in this dollarised economy. "Justice will previal under his administration" to make this happen." The President will sign a "planned logistical Coridor" (next priority after health) soon to support industrial scale mining in creating a "legal umbrella". "It doesn't matter who wins the national elections in 12 months as they will need an econonomy which needs reconstuction after Covid." Rene Ortiz has "great expectations for industrial mining. There is an opposition, it is the same people and same arguements but education can make a difference and encourage companies to support community engagement." "logistic corridor" - "mining needs roads and trucks, like oils have pipelines and electricity has grids and this arguement has convinced the President and hours or couple of days more for this to happen." "Doesn't see politicians disregarding the importance of industrial mining as they realise the importance of mining industry to the economy as the oil industry is in another phase." "Don't worry about politics as they are united behind the scenes that we need to rescue Ecuador" Nick Mather's comments (I guess after midnight in Brisbane).... "in order to unlock this potential we need the necessary permitting to enable this drilling and exploration work to be expedited" - told this directly to the Minister. "The whole of Ecuador can be the next Pilbara." "700 Ecuadorians employed around Cascabel." "Cascabel will improve GGP by 4%" and the replication of the natural system throughout country could double nation's GDP through mining exploration. Views are shared with others. Benefits all Ecuadorians at all levels." "BHP forefront of transformation of Australian's economy and we think copper mining will help transform Ecuador in the same way." "With this in mind, we think that Solgold can be Ecuador's BHP." "Alpala from 2025 will last intergenerationally and ride over copper/gold price cycles." "Will be an "icon" for Ecuador for generations to come." "The magnitude of this project is difficult to get the message across." "We hope any opposition will be overcome with the support of government such as communications, eduction to improve lives of people". "Replicate local enthusuasm at Alpala elsewhere" to "create the greatest copper producing nation on the earth". "A perfect storm of great efficiencies which can be replicated throughout the country". "Vast amount of capital available for the development of these opportunities but have to make sure we can get onto the ground. World's financiers like our discovery and govt needs to make sure access to the ground is available." "Cascabel - major permitting issues like access to port, power and transport to build peripheral facilities are a massive undertaking so need govt support to get these permits through rapidly". "We see no permitting problems at the moments but we like to keep a close tab and that is what the govt can do to supprot us" Final comment - "the world's financiers are throwing money at that" | pob69
06/5/2020 16:36 | UT 25.80 Not seen that one before .. was that play to stop those getting in late as they know there is news . Sell 400k slowly to stop a million coming at them in the last hour .. I guess we will know tomorrow . | mknight
06/5/2020 15:50 | Lowtrawler. Difficult to say as yesterday it went potty into the close and no news . Someone trying to make it look like a sell off taking 2000 a time when 1 trade of 20k would have been quicker . I have 50k at 26.2 if someone wants it . The slow seller is doing a good job ..dragging everyone lower ..will he then buy 100k cheap .. nice play if he does . | mknight
06/5/2020 15:46 | If news is coming tomorrow, I'll be surprised if it doesn't leak into the closing price today. If there are no interesting trades in the last hour, maybe no news! | lowtrawler
06/5/2020 15:22 | Thanks rougepierre1 Interesting . So what do we have for the last hour and 10 mins . Stock not done alot today .. volume low Should get back to a close of 27/28p imho | mknight
06/5/2020 15:20 | Convertible bonds at 80p or 100p would send us into orbit. Once can only speculate. | phattrader1
06/5/2020 15:02 | Reasons to be cheerful... Booking Holdings on 8 April issued $112.5 Billion Notes paying coupon of 0.75% and convertible into common stock at $1886.4 up to 2025 compared to a then current share price of $1372.06...that's a 37% premium to a stock price that had been $1230 only 5 days before... This article is positive... hxxps://www.spglobal I hold MAG Silver...the price has gone up since the financing...they did a $60 million issue to Sprott 30 April at $13.25 a share when the share price was $11.49 and the 10 day VWAP was only just over $10 a share... | rougepierre
06/5/2020 14:49 | As TSX is already open, looks like news must be tomorrow. | lowtrawler
06/5/2020 14:44 | The only news actually expected this week is on the 150m and offtake arrangement. Everything else is speculation. There are far too many permutations for us to consider on how other items may be funded. Let's wait for the news, then we won't be disappointed with its content. | lowtrawler
06/5/2020 14:35 | RP - Don't forget that "NAV" is always based on 'NPV' - and Ive explained (backed up by history) that its never ever been anywhere near reflected in a share price. (Back to Dozing) | dozyduck
06/5/2020 14:30 | My guess...and it is a guess...is that there will be a significant Convertible element...seems like a no-brainer to me...interest yields the lowest in history...equity conversion sweetens the pill, so it comes down to the convertible price...that'as how NM will get his valuation closer to NAV than share price .. Not ruling out a traders/smelters/off AIMHO as usual... | rougepierre
06/5/2020 14:27 | Real spread 26.787/27.116 in 50,000...very tight...augurs well... | rougepierre
06/5/2020 14:01 | I feel we're playing fantasy miner league. We can all speculate and there's even a small chance one of us is lucky and gets it right. What we need is news. | lowtrawler |
