09/1/2020 16:21 | I was hunting on TSX looking for the market cap of Cornerstone but couldn't see it. I believe there's 49 million shares in issue, which is about £90 million. I can't see why CGP has risen 50% over the past few weeks unless insiders think there might be some kind of deal in the offing? It does feel that CGP is the blocker to progress with Solg. | ![]() lefrene

08/1/2020 11:27 | I'm expecting light city delivery vehicles to emerge as the front runners for electric vehicles via the likes of Amazon. I feel the move towards electric vehicles is as much about depriving despots of oil revenues, as it is about being 'greener'. Although I would guess that building cities consumes a lot more copper than making vehicles, and India and Africa has a long way to go, the vehicles of course can also be readily recycled. | ![]() lefrene
08/1/2020 11:10 | As Solgold say themselves, the life of the Alpala mine is over 50 years and they are forward looking 100 years of mining in Ecuador. 2025 is a good time for their Alpala mine to begin extraction of the Copper as this is when I think EV light vehicles will really start to come on-line and push aside combustion engine driven light vehicles. | ![]() loganair
08/1/2020 11:04 | I guess BHP and Newcrest think there's a fair chance of getting enough out of the ground to make a decent profit. I feel most long term holders know that 'in-ground' value if there's a decent chance of extraction is in the 2% to 3% range depending on likely ease or not of extraction. Some time ago using figures put out by Solg and the then current values I concluded that the company controlled sites with in excess of $500 billions worth of metals at extracted value. Perhaps one fine day after Cornerstone has been put to bed, we might find out a bit more about what this company is sat on? | ![]() lefrene
08/1/2020 11:01 | They don`t make mistakes. They simply have different assumptions and timescales. Generous assumptions are there to cheer us along our journey and give us hope that "one day Rodney"...… | ![]() arcadian
08/1/2020 08:56 | mk - At the current Price of Gold, the value of the Gold in the ground for a miner in the Exploration stage is around $33-$35 per ounce or about 2% of any Commodities current market price. This is where so many posters make a huge mistake as they think that the Value of the Company should = the Value of the Assets in the Ground which is far, far, far from the case. It seems to me that the Valuation of any miner that is in the Exploration or Development stage depends on its ability to eventually be able to get the Commodity out of the Ground and to market. | ![]() loganair
08/1/2020 06:05 | Longair At 1600 dollars an oz your valuación puts a value of 32 dollars an oz x 25 millón oz = 800 millón dollars. Just for our gold pre MRE3 .Copper valuación nothing . I think it is fair to say its one hell of a bargain . Will add a few more today . | ![]() mknight
08/1/2020 01:10 | Well that’s $1600 gold just taken out. It’ll probably go much higher when tRump starts throwing missiles back. What a mess. | ![]() alwaysevolving

07/1/2020 16:17 | Let the news flow commence...This article, behind a paywall, details important news for the future of mining in #ecuador mentioning Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador (also in Imbabura) Codelco, Enami advance on Ecuador copper project "...Ecuadoran state miner Enami EP and Chilean state copper company Codelco advanced in their agreement over the Llurimagua copper and molybdenum deposit, in Imbabura province." | ![]() pob69
07/1/2020 15:45 | Just had a look at cornerstone and see they are up 50 percent from their lows . Trading at 300 and were as low as 200. Shame we are stuck at 20p | ![]() mknight

06/1/2020 19:39 | If blanco y nieve has gold on the surface then we might not be 5 years away from producing . We do not know how much drilling has been done but if it was my project then i would have atleast half those 12 rigs at alpala punching holes in ByNieve . nice time to release the beast. | ![]() mknight
06/1/2020 19:11 | Notwithstanding the price of gold and its theoretical relevance to the value of our yet to be mined gold, the end of day price of SOLG shares has risen 7 of the last 8 days. | ![]() arcadian
06/1/2020 15:53 | Copper - 1 million electric driven light vehicles require on average around 40,000 tons more copper then 1 million combustion engine driven light vehicles. | ![]() loganair
06/1/2020 15:41 | The rise in value/price of the underlying asset can only be a positive, at the very least it helps when looking for finance to begin extraction. Now if only that long forecast (4 years?), of the crippling copper shortage looming over a world going electric, would actually put in an appearance! Gold now being marked back, will $1550 prove to be a floor? | ![]() lefrene
06/1/2020 15:36 | My understanding is that while a mine is in the Exploration stage as Solgold currently is that for every $1 increase in the price of gold increases the value of the gold asset in the ground by around 2 US cents. Once a mine moves forward into the Development stage then for every $1 increase in the price of gold increases the value of the gold asset in the ground by around 10 US cents. | ![]() loganair
06/1/2020 15:25 | Completely agree - if we were actually mining the share price would be directly correlated. Irrespective of whether we mine or not, it's still an asset which had a future value of x yesterday and is now worth y. Therefore I would still expect a small bump in the share price | silversoldier
06/1/2020 15:19 | Important to remember that any increase in the price of gold will have far less effect on Solgold then on other gold miners as Solgold is still some nearly 5 years away before any gold is actually dug out of the ground and sold on the open market. | ![]() loganair
06/1/2020 15:14 | Silversoldier: Why will the price of gold affect our performance? We have no gold to sell, it has not been mined yet. | ![]() trev1223
06/1/2020 13:16 | Well that's me back in after being on the sidelines for a while - let's hope we see some performance given gold is seeing some strength | silversoldier
