BMW might need some copper for their manufacture of EV Minis in China.

Once up and running, the factory line will have the capacity to produce as many as 160,000 vehicles annually.

Yes. I agree with that. It does smell of accumulation.

Interesting perspective from Australia #ecuador Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel

"...But further down the value chain there’s plenty happening too, and with a vim and vigour that’s not being seen elsewhere in the world, where investors and dealmakers don’t have the benefit of near-record gold prices to underwrite their investments and transactions.

Not every share price has done well in the gold space, however, and investors still have to be discerning in their choices. For example, it’s interesting to note that BHP’s (ASX:BHP)(LON:BHP) and Newcrest’s stakes in Solgold (LON:SOLG) has halved in value over the past six months, even though Solgold’s Alpala project looks to be one of the best discoveries in years.

But then, Alpala is in Ecuador, where the political and permitting risk is much higher. In Australia, despite the periodic assails of lefter-leaning governments, mining is in the culture, the risk is lower, and the profits can be correspondingly higher. With a near-record gold price shimmering in the background, it’s hardly surprising that investors are making hay and deals are getting done

New SolGold Environmental, Social and Governance Video 2019 with Nick Mather stating something which may well be said a great number of times in the near future...

"...Alpala will be the cornerstone of all mining in Ecuador"

"...We're here to build not just a mine but an industry in this great nation"

Me too especially after the reassuring news about BHP`s share purchase. This venture has the support of all the major interests and will become a tier 1 outfit.

This is a very nice steady rise. It could start to accelerate a bit from now too. Share price feels strong to me.

It`s even more unbelievable that we haven`t got those mining permits yet. Perhaps they will be the big surprise in MRE3.

It is unbelievable how much the German car manufactures are going to spend on EV R&D next year, around €50bln, Daimler alone are going to spend nearly €10bln of EV's in 2020.

When it comes, EVs are going to come much quicker then one thinks, just like what happened with unleaded petrol. One year only 200 petrol stations selling unleaded petrol, with most people saying it is going to take many many years, at least 20 years before unleaded is available everywhere. Just 5 years later all petrol stations were selling unleaded petrol in the UK and 5 years after that no leaded petrol was being sold in the UK at all.

When EV's take off, there is going to be a massive need for Copper, around 40KG extra per EV car compared to a combustion driven car. This means for every 1m Ev's means an extra 40,000 tons of Copper is needed.

How do these grades at RMM compare?

R19-745-08 - 74.75 meters (m) downhole width of 8.98% copper with 2.16 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 14.23 g/t silver,

Though provoking article on the illegal mining in Buenos Aires #ecuador Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel

"...former assemblyman of the correato, who would be responsible for the exploitation of the mines in Buenos Aires, for which he would use the labor of the sector. Then he would be in charge of marketing the ore with Chinese citizens."

"...It is presumed that the individuals and companies that would integrate these mafias have achieved contacts at the highest governmental level , that is, with people who have held positions of power as ministers, governors, ambassadors, mayors, police chiefs, military, prosecutors, judges and others public characters These power and business relations would have intensified during Rafael Correa's government."

I would call that a ramp! I am not saying it;S going to double/triple by next week etc. I am saying that if it breaks 22p decisively, then 26 p is likely. Quite a conservative target I would have thought.

An interesting new blog post #ecuador Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel As good a guess at crystal ball gazing as anyone...

"...Let’s move forward to this week’s announcement that BHP are raising their stake to 15%. BHP wanted more in the placing, however SOLG had one reason and one reason only for the share issue and that was to increase DGR/Nick’s holding and BHP’s holding to 30%, therefore giving a clear block to any potential low ball bid."

"..Nick has the added incentive to keep BHP honest with the Cornerstone/Newcrest partnership, who would certainly block any BHP low ball offer."

Investor Chronicle update #ecuador Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel

"..It’s been a rough few months for SolGold, even as it has ploughed on with the resource update work and a more detailed study of Alpala’s commercial prospects....

...But this added interest for BHP could steady the ship, and as medium-term copper bulls we see value in further detail on the Alpala mine expected in the coming months. Buy at 22p."

That includes me as all the major interested parties want this to go ahead.

The government, the company, the locals and our major mining partners/predators see a great future for this gold and copper venture. What`s not to like even if the share price is slumbering.
