I cannot see 40p due to the need for funding .lets think 25p and be happy if its more.

The share price hopefully will rise above BHP,s price once the MRE3 .Permit news comes out .

I would be very disappointed if the raise was below 40p per share. In theory should be in 50-60p range.. surely??

Nick Mather is shortlisted for CEO of the Year Emerging Company at Mines and Money London this week. However, Solgold has no listed presence this year which is unusual having routinely exhibited and indeed sponsored this event in previous years. I guess the CEO has other things on his mind!

Broker Liberum reiterates 72p TP #ecuador Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel

"...SolGold's share price has been under pressure over the past six months from a combination of a difficult macro backdrop in Ecuador, lower copper prices and the need for a financing solution to fund planned expenditures on exploration and the PFS. However, near-term funding concerns should be addressed before year-end with a small raise sufficient to finance the PFS, of which the company has a variety of options at its disposal."

BHP Group, the world’s biggest miner, plans to increase its stake in SolGold Plc, the developer of projects in copper hot spot Ecuador, according to people familiar with the proposal.

Melbourne-based BHP will add to its existing 11% holding in SolGold and become the developer’s largest shareholder ahead of Newcrest Mining Ltd., the people said, asking not to be identified because the matter is confidential. An announcement detailing the size of the investment could be made within days.

BHP, preparing to install Mike Henry as its new chief executive officer from January, is prioritizing future growth in copper and oil, and sees Ecuador as a key focus for new mining projects. Dwindling supply from aging copper mines and rising demand from renewable energy and the electric vehicle sector will combine to boost the metal’s outlook, the miner said in August.
BHP and SolGold declined to comment.

Even if one is in their 50s, one still has time on their side.

If one does not have time on ones side then maybe investing in mining stocks is not the right investment to be in or maybe could think about passing the investment on to ones children.

......which is fine if you’re in your 20s or 30s with time on your side. Some of us might not have 20 years left to wait. NM is no spring chicken himself!

I am not worried and do not even think about where Solgold's share price is going to be tomorrow, next week, next month or even next year as to do so I feel is a complete waste of time and often can be crushing on ones emotions.

Long term:

Commodities markets are very much tied to global economic cycles, and Donald Trump’s ongoing trade war with China (which is a major consumer of all sorts of earthly commodities) is a real cause for fear. But saying that, the chances of Trump still being in power a year from now are looking slimmer by the day.

It can require calm nerves to invest in mining and commodities, and you have to be prepared for anything over the short term. To invest in that sector, you really need to be looking at a horizon covering what’s likely to be a couple of industry cycles.

I’d say that means investing for an absolute minimum of 10 years, preferably closer to 20.

Shares tend to sink because the promises seem ever further away. Solg has delivered on finding huge resources but seems unable to prove them up quickly enough, along with forever being behind the curve on reports, getting in front for once would lift sentiment, getting the Bankable Feasibility Study out earlier than expected would help a lot. No doubt our money man has his contacts, but they of course will be mindful of their careers, so they won't move until that BFS arrives.
I suppose there is the off chance of a maverick such as the Chinese turning up at the table. The discount to assets here is so huge that it will be on the watch list of several players, but it's been like this for about two years now and no ones blinked.

In 20 years time Solgold can easily be a £20bln valuation miner, £12 per share paying a £1 per share dividend, better then any pension annuity for anyone investing now.

Do Chinese investors differ from other investors in terms of how they approach mining deals, and if so how?
How are Chinese investors looking to capitalise on the Belt and Road initiative? How can foreign investors profit? Given how much they have lost financially in the past few years, what is their current investment outlook for the Australian mining industry? What can the Australian mining industry do to win back Chinese investor confidence?
