A jv or or a 50p per share placing would be great. With MRE3 this is not going to go cheaply and the majors know it. A potential $100 billion in ground resource value after MRE3 is not to be toyed with, no time wasters.

We dont need that much money if next year they expect to be spending only 30 million .

So a small fund raising needed as we know and at 18p any dilution is already more than in the share price . Imho

Great update
But as I have said many times before
Fundraising update very soon
Is it a new joint venture or sell off of a large chunk or major dilution re share placing?

'strategic financing options'. I hate terms like this. I understand the need to raise funding but dilution in whatever form it takes is inevitable (equity, debt or selling a stake in our projects). But what does Mather mean by 'strategic'? That usually suggests selling assets of the company

THE MDA confirms
"...the delivery of the third Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE#3), which remains on track for release in December 2019."
"...The PFS is expected to be released in early 2020"
"...A preliminary drilling program (...Alpala and surroungs) comprising up to 100,000m of drilling utilising 10 machines is envisaged for the coming calendar year; SolGold has a budget of some US$30 million for the program (...of course funding needed)."
"...SolGold is in late stage negotiations on a number of strategic financing options, and the monthly cash burn has been adjusted in order to complete these discussions by year end to enable the Company to continue its ambitious strategy to complete a Alpala DFS by the end of 2020 and to continue its regional exploration campaign."
"...SolGold was not impacted during the temporary country-wide unrest"

I guess whatever is happening is largely out of Mathers control as plainly he wants to see the asset value reflected in the price as indeed do we. We're being messed about by the government withholding permits, and Cornerstone Group would seem to be making themselves as difficult as possible. Then BHP/Newcrest will doing their level best to bully a deal for themselves. We also know that the government has been coseying up to the Chinese, that is just another pebble tossed in the pool.

This it going to drop off a cliff again in the next week or so if there's no news. That chart is a creature of habit at the moment, 14p to 16p soon.

I expect plenty of ridicule of course

The main reason for the 50% fall was the political problems in Ecuador.

It seems to me that Solgold is placing themselves as the main mining company in the untouched Ecuador and importantly are going about things the right way.

With technology and the likes of electric vehicles Copper is far more important then either Lithium or Nickel with the added bonus of a huge amount of gold and silver thrown in.

The share price has lost over 50% of its value in the last 6 months. Not sure that’s all that positive!

I think it is normal when the share price has dropped from 40p to 18p .I dont think anyone is saying the Project is not wonderful .

Will NM be pushed to annouce MRE3 before funding ?

I Would think we might see a 30 per cent increase

It seems one or two posters are becoming rather negative on what is to me a very good positive story when it comes to Solgold.

It Would seem that he does not want to dilute the shares Any more or BHP and or Newcrest dont want 100million each at 25/30p or maybe they want more shares which may put him out of control .

Sooner or later something has to give .

I wonder how low Mr Mather is going to let the share price go before he attempts to stop the rot Lefrene? Still well and truly in the down trend.

Hard to understand the rationale behind them complaining the low share price left then vulnerable to a low ball take out a few weeks ago (when the share price was considerably higher than it is now) and then proceed with the same silence seemingly oblivious to the continual sinking share price What exactly is their game plan here?!

At least gold is perking up even if this dog isn't!

Cash is getting short and the share price is saying the market doesn't trust Mr Mather!

If relations are good between Nick Mather and BHP, there might be a funding deal in return for a favourable production take off. BHP would no doubt drive a hard bargain as they know that Solg needs the huge finance to kick start not only Alpala but the wider exploitation of the other discoveries. One hopes there might be another player also willing to put up that kind of money in return for a favourable take-off deal, just to help get a better deal.

I can not see BHP wishing to buy out Solgold as Solgold are building a long term relationship with the local people and Government of Ecuador which could easily be damaged by any take over.

Therefore it seems to me at most BHP may increase their stake to say 20%.

You never know!

BHP (BHP) chief executive Andrew Mackenzie will step down at the end of the year after six years at the helm, and will be replaced by the major diversified miner’s Australian boss, Mike Henry.
