23/9/2019 10:16 | Will it be Newcrest buying out Cornerstone and then BHP increasing it's share to match Newrcrest by putting up new money in a placing? Newcrest comes out of purdah on 17th October (I think?). I would think keeping it amongst the Aussies would be NM's preferred play, and the properties held by Solg are so huge that there's plenty for BHP and Newcrest to share for half a century or more. In the meantime what the heck are 560 people doing? Or are they just buying off all the local villages? | lefrene
23/9/2019 08:57 | Still got my eyes peeled . | mknight
20/9/2019 16:52 | More comprehensive article now available Investors Chronicle re-iterates BUY tip in light of CC ruling $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador SolGold. IC View We flagged the bearish reaction to the legal challenge as a reason to buy back into the shares earlier this summer (30p, 6 Jun 2019), noting management’s eagerness to work with the government to build a sustainable and environmentally responsible copper industry. A lack of permitting clarity will have given SolGold’s suitors BHP and Newcrest pause for thought, but with two precedents now apparently set, we expect their confidence to have improved. Buy at 23p. 20/9/2019 10:33 | AGM would have finished st 7am this morning as started at 5 am our time. Surprised there has been no RNS by now. | francoismyname
20/9/2019 10:11 | I doubt much will come from a formal AGM, although there might be some good questions put? The court case news was an opportunity to reveal more good news if they had wanted to. Although I suppose it would be nice timing if those drill permits were released! What apparatchik is sitting on those, when the country so say wants to develop its mining industry! | lefrene
19/9/2019 19:28 | I actually sent a cheque to buy my allotment. Pound, shillings and pence and cheques. Was actually working in a bank when decimalisation was introduced. Will be saying next bank? where? | mam fach
19/9/2019 18:18 | Looks like a position being rolled over. | lefrene
19/9/2019 17:18 | Bejezuz, are those two big ones buys or sells, or both? | alphapig
19/9/2019 17:00 | If the market knew the price they would have pushed the share price up or down to close to the price . I dont think they have a clue . I for one cannot see a placing at this level . | mknight
19/9/2019 16:14 | Was that in the days of pounds, shillings and pence? Sorry, couldn't resist, lol! No probs with isa providing you've got the cash in it to participate. There's some reasonable buys today as well, so not definite yet, just imho. | alphapig
19/9/2019 16:10 | mam fach, if it's a placing the company has simply sold a ton of shares to a third party, but a rights issue is a different matter. I would guess with an ISA it depends if you have enough cash in it to take up a rights, or perhaps one might have to sell the rights and remove the cash if surplus, from the ISA? Shareholders are simply not getting enough information from the company to know what the heck is going on, one hopes this is ultimately in holders best interests. Given that NM holds a lot of this stock one has to presume that he is doing what's in the best interests of all. I'm guessing something will have to give in the next month before Newcrest come out of purdah. | lefrene
19/9/2019 16:03 | Re placing does anyone know what happens if shares held in ISA. Last time there was placing @ 3p my shares were held in certificate. | mam fach
19/9/2019 15:53 | Close down today Spivvs have it by the balls. If you had insider knowledge like them, you would not be buying if a low ball placing is incoming. | francoismyname
19/9/2019 12:12 | jammytass, I suspect that predators want more of the donkey work done first! Getting finance sorted and any other bureaucracy box ticking signed off and delivered, so there are no tripping points to slow mine construction. I see RTZ are having big problems with that huge Mongolian block caving mine, so I would guess that the block caving expertise of Newcrest will be wanted, even if Newcrest don't buy it. | lefrene
19/9/2019 11:51 | Buy out on the cards | jammytass
19/9/2019 11:42 | Ecuador’s constitutional court has rejected a petition seeking to prohibit mining activities in the southern province of Azuay, home to SolGold’s (SOLG) fully-owned Sharug project. This follows a similar ruling relating to the north of the country back in June, where the group’s 85 per cent owned Cascabel project is situated. Shares are up 4 per cent this morning. Buy. | francoismyname
19/9/2019 11:40 | For whatever reason the company is not helping itself, sitting on all those drill cores, and somehow failing to get a deal with Cornerstone, and then the cash suddenly starts depleting, after bigging up the $60 million cash on the books at the last interims. So something is going on, but what? | lefrene
19/9/2019 11:38 | Investors Chronicle re-iterates BUY tip in light of CC ruling $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador SolGold. | pob69
19/9/2019 11:34 | We will probably finish down on the day. Insider trading is rife here... | francoismyname
19/9/2019 11:28 | Sentiment should be great . We probably the largest mine in the world with 12 priority sites which probably contain atleast 3 tier 1 sites . What the price ia doing here amazes me . | mknight
19/9/2019 11:01 | The court decision should free up those long awaited drill permits, and also removes an impediment to fund raising. One would expect sentiment to improve from here onwards. | lefrene
19/9/2019 10:59 | NM would go down in my estimations if he Does a placing any where around 20 to 25p. Offer it to newcrest at 30p plus and they wiould take his hand off . | mknight
19/9/2019 10:50 | In years gone by, the RNS would have sent the share price rocketing today. No large buys can mean only one thing that insider trading is happening and the spivvs and market makers know what’s coming with the placing. | francoismyname |
