Don"t you just feel this is first bit of good news & far more to come? Personally can't see placing @ 20p. Hoping it's not long before share price back to 40p. If there is a placing hope holders get chance to subscribe. Hold on to your shares.

Gerry

If you buy at 20 and newcrest and Bhp pay 40p for an extra 10 percent the share price will hit 40p and you will have made 100 percent in a few weeks .

Thats why peeps must buy at these prices .. nothing to lose..

GaryThomas has no clue how this all works.

His last post should be kept as his legacy to this board.

Why would they have to give 20% to newcrest and bhp. If there is a full placing offer how would newcrest and bhp % share go up - it would stay the same.

How can it be a 50% profit, if they get the funding away at 30p, and will be lucky at that price, thats about 25% increase, but will have a further 20% sharesout there, and if they give 20% percent to newcrest and bhp, will take there holding up over 45%, thats not counting cornerstone, he his giving the company up cheap on placements, and made it very very difficult for any 3rd party to get involved now, with the 2 majors owning 45%, grab cornerstone in october, and hes lost control.

RNS Number : 9242MSolGold PLC19 September 2019 19 September 2019 SolGold plc("SolGold" or the "Company") Constitutional Court Dismisses Petition to Prohibit Mining in Azuay, Ecuador SolGold (LSE & TSX: SOLG) advises that The Constitutional Court of Ecuador ("the Court") has ruled against a petition to seek local consultation to consider the prohibition of mining activities within the province of Azuay, Southern Ecuador. The province of Azuay contains SolGold's 100% owned Sharug project, a high priority project that SolGold believes has considerable potential for the discovery of a world class orebody with commensurate benefits for Ecuador and SolGold. The Court unanimously dismissed the petition and concluded that referendums implying constitutional reforms are incompatible with the Ecuadorian constitution. In addition, the Court ruled that any referendum which may if successful, result in other nationally enjoyed constitutional rights being restricted, are inadmissible. The decision specifically addressed the rights granted to mining concessionaires. In addition, the Court found that the petition was too broad, and misleading to potential voters as it did not give them adequate or accurate information in order to make an informed decision. It therefore did not comply with legal requirements for its admission, in addition to the substantial flaws outlined. This decision, in conjuction with the previously rejected petition of a similar nature in the Imbabura province in Northern Ecuador, sets a strong precedent for any future petitions for consultation to consider changes to the constitution of Ecuador. SolGold continues to work closely with all levels of the Ecuadorean government and with the local communities within which SolGold and its regional subsidiaries operate to create a sustainable and responsible mining indsutry in Ecuador.

AGM in Australia will be over by the time we all wake up on Friday morning.

If they are going to release anything decent it will need to be tomorrow so it’s a fair market.

redpete You seem to think the market is a perfect sea of thousands of buyers and sellers ensuring a 'fair' price for any stock at any time. It isn't. There's only a small pool of investors interested in Solg now, and they may not be dealing for a host of reasons. Most shares drift down, with MM's trying to stimulate but often failing, and a few who need the cash for some reason or other. The sensible thing is to wait and pick up stock in quiet times, or sell on excited spikes. Is like war. Nothing big happens for most of the time.

Work this out...

3 Sept to 12 Sept, copper goes from $2.52 to $2.66...

SOLG goes from 25.3 to 22.4....

And only ELEVEN trades between 15.30 and 16.00 vs 39 in the previous hour...

Is the market waiting for something...?

PS 40p just before the PEA...22p now, the lowest since 4 Sept 2018...just nuts...!

AIMHO as usual...

Incidentally, while the 50,000 and 70,000 went through easily, the 100,134 wouldn't deal straightaway...had to retry a couple of times...market short of stock...?
