15/2/2019 21:37 | ODR, one hopes that there is at least another £80 billions worth in the other sites! :¬) In the meantime gold seems to be on the rise perhaps reflecting the worry that fiat currencies are running short of options to deal with the next recession. We might even see a workable deal between China and the USA which perhaps would boost demand for copper? Whoever ends up exploiting the Solg portfolio will have a district that will likely yield for over a century, it's a prize worth having and all those big hitters know it. The waiting is tedious, but as I've been in NZ for 3 months I at least am sitting in the sunshine, which beats sitting out a UK winter. :¬) | ![]() lefrene

15/2/2019 08:22 | Unusally, not much resistance on L2 until 100k on the offer at 37.8p so some buying pressure could move things up fairly quickly. | ![]() zeusfurla
15/2/2019 00:00 | mknight, I'm here because with rather less than half of Solg properties explored/drilled we have approx £80 billions worth of metal in the ground, just 5% of which would be £4 billion, and Solg is valued at less than £700 million. Add to that the very favourable infrastructure at Cascabel which will much reduce the exploitation cost, I conclude either a big hitter will want it, or Solg will raise the money from Canadian Banks to exploit it themselves. The waiting is indeed tedious, but those metals aren't going anywhere. | ![]() lefrene

14/2/2019 20:32 | 5070481 Even if they were underwhelmed with the results they have to report them .i think after 3 months they would have had more than enough time to analyse them . Your last paragraph comments on the interest NM has in obtaining a higher share price . I agree thats exactly what he wants and what better platform to release those results than an international trade fair where the mining world is gathering. I believe the current offer of cornerstone is not interesting but by putting a value of every cornerstone share at .55 at say 50p it becomes extremely interesting that tells me he will move quickly .cornerstones share register is also of interest with 2 of the big boys owning if memory serves me right nearly 50 percent . Will they allow SOLG to walk away with the 15 percent prize? As i said i may be wrong but i have backed my judgement with a large holding . Finally this is a bb and is about discussion and opinions these are mine . Time will tell if i am right or wrong lets face it 99 percent think i am wrong otherwise the shareprice would be a lot higher . | ![]() mknight
14/2/2019 17:53 | THey may not have the samples analysed sufficiently yet. They may be underwhelmed with the results as they were when there was a delay with Aguinaga which had promised much on the initial assay results but ultimately disappointed. My point was simply that there is no sufficient reason to expect drill results before an arbitrary trade fair date. Let's deal in facts as they are presented to us rather than making conviction statements of which we have little supporting evidence. Or as pob69 does and finds interesting articles that inform and sometimes challenge assumptions. My belief is simply that there are two sides to all investment deals. Ultimately demand drives price action and for whatever reason there is no demand currently in the market for SOLG. NM needs the price higher and will be doing everything he can to achieve this. Thus it would be my belief that there is no reason to hold back any results that are positive in nature. Higher SOLG price makes COrnerstone offer more attractive to their shareholders; fends off opportunistic takeover bids; allows capital raising at better prices; triggers options vesting etc. | ![]() 5070481
14/2/2019 16:39 | 5070481 So tell me why NM has not released any drill results for the last 3 months? You seem to be good at criticism but dont give out any answer . So come on explain why he will not release news before the trade fair .. Then we can see who was right and who was wrong . | ![]() mknight
14/2/2019 16:31 | I am just telling you what NM said on video which you can check yourselves . I never said they were going into production . I dont believe they will but i do not think they will sell their 11 top targets until they have drilled them to find exactly what they contain. I am very condident that solg is undervalued . A negative could be the Ecuadorian government or some political problem . | ![]() mknight
14/2/2019 16:04 | I don’t understand that tactic mknight. Development of Alpala is in the several billions of US dollars. | ![]() sogoesit
14/2/2019 16:00 | I actually dont think you're a classic ramper as such MK maybe just an eternal optimist. The current board is made of almonst exclusively of exploration specialists rather than production experienced professionals. To actually start mining would require hiring some serious heavy weights. At a market cap of 680m currently, it is my belief that Blanco is being attributed very little value currently as the resource has clearly not been proven up. TO use it to fund an Alpala production would take well over 12 months of dedicated drilling and successful drilling at that and would not raise the sort of capital that i would imagine is required to get us going. Remember we are not open pit so it will cost a fair chunk to get us started. | ![]() 5070481
14/2/2019 15:42 | Trev and segoesit NM actually said he would use Blanco y nieve to fund the project . I suppose this will go down as another ramp . If you check through the videos you will find it . | ![]() mknight
14/2/2019 15:35 | Thanks, trev1223, for that lead. Sure, at the end of the day it’s all a negotiation but any position must also carry credibility. Cheers! | ![]() sogoesit
14/2/2019 15:30 | Cannot understand why the 28th is such a stupid date . As far as i am aware it has always been the target to release news in q1 . It makes sense to release it just before the trade fair . If they have drilled 47,000m can you explain why they did not give out some of the drilling today ? | ![]() mknight

14/2/2019 15:17 | SImilar to Theresa May's master Brexit negotiations!!! However I am also 100% confident that Solgold will start production within the next 10 months so they can announce it at their AGM... ;) | ![]() 5070481
14/2/2019 14:26 | 507, was typing at the same time you posted the above. But agree, he could well be bluffing to get a better price? | ![]() alwaysevolving
14/2/2019 14:22 | Trev, or that could be a tactic by NM to make any potential bidder believe that SOLG wish to develop it themselves and are in no rush to offload it for a Nominal price to the first bid that comes along. Moving forward with a nod to in house development by SOLG may well be perceived by a third party as they will need to pay top dollar to have it away rather than Solg just making it obvious it’s simply up for sale? I believe everything is for sale at the right price. Smoke and mirrors perhaps? | ![]() alwaysevolving
14/2/2019 14:18 | He's always suggested that taking it into production was an option for him but i think most have presumed that this was simply a bluff to stengthen his bargaining position when it comes to selling. CLearly this option should be clearer though once we get the PEA. If early production is highlighted then i would expect the price to rerate substantially. | ![]() 5070481
14/2/2019 13:54 | Sogoesit: I don't know whether this answers your question (14963). I found this in RNS 2406 H on 14/11/18. "Getting Alpala advanced towards development SolGold has appointed feasibility management to initially address the production of a preliminary economic assessment (PEA), prior to the prefeasibility and feasibility studies. The resource at the Alpala deposit boasts a high grade core which, in the event of the construction of a mine, is targeted to facilitate early cashflows and an accelerated payback of initial capital. SolGold is currently investigating development and financing options available to the company for the development of Cascabel on reaching feasibility." This suggests to me, that SOLG are considering their own development. I remember NM saying that he wanted to develop mining and production, this was before Christmas I think. Maybe lefrene remembers as we had a brief discussion after the announcement. | ![]() trev1223

14/2/2019 11:43 | Top drawer reasoning MK. That is also my birthday. I suspect Solgold will be hoping to release news in time to make it a great day for me. Failing the 28th release date, is there any other random date you'd care to pluck out of the sky with flimsy reasoning? | ![]() 5070481
14/2/2019 11:15 | It looks to me that PEA and the results from drilling from 133,000 to 180,000 will be released together possibly as early as 28th of this month to coincide with the up coming trade fair . | ![]() mknight |
