02/1/2019 10:38 | lefrene Well said and NM does not look like the type of person who is going to fail here. What an opportunity he has and he will not drop the ball IMHO. | goldrush
02/1/2019 10:31 | NM has to demonstrate that he can create a serious path to production in order to get fair value, or risk a low ball offer from a would be buyer. NM knows his industry, no low down trick will go untried to get assets on the cheap, so he has to counter with a credible path to production. | lefrene
02/1/2019 10:30 | Splendid Green Rock Porvenir update for $SOLG $SOLG.L Solgold #ecuador. It's worth recalling their webcast from 28/11 when the team identified what they were most excited about for 2019. Nick Mather went for La Hueca No6 and Porvenier No15, whilst Jason Ward went for Rio Amarillo with Steve Garwin going for Blanca Neives and Sharug. Benn Whistler stuck with Cascabel as his only focus. Nick Mather's RNS comments are telling: "The high grades and strong gold endowment at Alpala and Porvenir provides SolGold with a unique opportunity to develop this Company without resorting to dilutive and erosive joint ventures. SolGold has identified and secured the best of an entire copper-gold province, the size and metallogenic signature of northern Chile. That's a unique approach that can't be replicated. We are confident that Alpala and now Porvenir Target 15 are the first projects in a long, large and rich string of them. We have the cash, the expertise and the focus to deliver". These guys under-commit and over-deliver so there is still plenty of news to come. | pob69
02/1/2019 10:18 | Holding on for £1. Unfortunately nothing seems to move price @ the moment. It should be 46p-50p by now. Think NM saying he will take it to production (he's always said this) is putting people off because of the enormity of the project. | mam fach
02/1/2019 10:06 | Hats off to you Mam fach. If I’d been in since 3p I think I would have taken profits before now. What a result holding since 3p. I wish! | alwaysevolving

02/1/2019 08:37 | Will be interesting to see if the order book has been stacked ot put off buyers. NOt a big fan of the consiracy theories on MM games but that is a hell of a lot of sell orders to be placed in plain site at prices that clearly arent going to be hit all that soon anyway. | 5070481
02/1/2019 08:37 | 5070481 You are right about the drill bit being the real deal. Let us see what transpires over the coming months but if even half of what NM has been saying transpires into reality we would be in great shape. | goldrush
02/1/2019 08:34 | Absolutely SIdarthur. I've a decent chunk invested here as the overall company still has enormous potential in my view. I just meant i try not to get ahead of myself with the sample RNSs. It makes perfect sense to me that the Andean copper belt present in Chile would continue up through Ecuador and I think SOLG has the prime sites. The market though has a habit of not getting as excited as others purely on sample rather than the drill bit. | 5070481
02/1/2019 08:31 | lovely bowl forming on the chart...... | sidarthur2
02/1/2019 08:30 | it is not called 'exploration' for nothing...... | sidarthur2
02/1/2019 08:22 | I still try to treat these regional propects with caution following on from Aguinagas result. I had expected big things there only to be ultimately disappointed wihen the drill bit arrived | 5070481
02/1/2019 08:11 | We might have 11 regional rns,s . That would be fun . | mknight
02/1/2019 07:59 | 5070481 Yes as included in the Summary IMHO | goldrush
02/1/2019 07:55 | A program of detailed ground magnetics will commence early next year covering the entire Target 15 area, followed by an airborne-magnetic survey covering the entire Porvenir Project I presume the release was prepared in Decmeber and that they mean 2019 fr othe detailed ground magnetics | 5070481
02/1/2019 07:55 | Great RNS. There will be more RNS’s to come given what Nick and The Team have been saying in interviews over the last few months. He has told us that Alpala can grow 20/25% with current drilling program, and that certain drill rigs will be released to test the regional sites....Looks like Porvenir is going to get the treatment....even if half the size of Alpala !! ....Look at the value that would add to our business !! We will no doubt be getting something similar on Blanca y Nieve and the launch of the drilling program IMHO.....and the gold grades from there will I’m sure keep Newcrest focussed on the end goal......Remember NM himself said that B y N gold could finance the rest of the portfolio...... | goldrush
02/1/2019 07:23 | Great start to the new year. Excellent results from Porvenir. One of 11 prospects. Bit early to say, but if we have 11 Alpalas on our hands, what does that make SOLG worth?! | mikalan
01/1/2019 23:52 | Yeah i hope not. My favoured route would be farm-in at alpala, then we have funds to get to production and pay for all our drilling on other targets. We’ll see! This definitely feels like a cross between fortescue and centaminin the early days - albeit it a different jurisdiction to both. It has the potential to be a monster. | dmitribollokov
01/1/2019 23:42 | Dimitri I do not think that the bid will be for the whole company that's not to say we will not get 1.50 just for Alpala. Blanca y Nieve is probably worth more than Alpala and there is no way NM is going to give that away without proving it up in 2019/2020 imho .We need the permit . Will we get a bid before the permit and PEA .. quite possibly but that does not mean that NM will accept it. | mknight
01/1/2019 23:08 | Cheers McK, good to be back. The guy is just a clueless loudmouth. All in on JLP and angry. Best to just ignore, totally disingenuous. Really interested to see what hapens over the next year here. Hope they just sell or farm-out cascabel and work the other prospects. Feels like a bid will be for the whole company though. That will ultimately undervalue what we have i think, but if it ends up being £1.50 or above I definitely won’t be complaining... | dmitribollokov
01/1/2019 22:38 | Zeusfuria Everyone on the BB has their own agenda . I will defend SOLG because i hold shares in the company .Sometimes however we get someone like plant hunter who is too stupid to be a holder or someone wanting to get in cheaper . These are interesting and often paid by a larger outfit to undermine the company . The larger company interests me . | mknight
01/1/2019 22:30 | Good to here you are back Dimitri I wonder if plat hunter ( Great name btw ) is getting paid for this . Whatever they are paying him at the moment it is too much ..He is one of the poorest derampers I have ever heard from .. | mknight
01/1/2019 21:49 | I'd rather use some more objective evidence to assess whether an investment is good value such as broker reports from more than 1 source that say SOLG is undervalued. Better than posts that are not evidence based and are aimed at pushing the share price down. Anyone even having a cursory look at the info on SOLG will see that t has great prospects. | zeusfurla |
