I posted about a fortnight ago about news being held back on this share...5070481 argued that this wasn't the case, do you still want to argue that point??There is clearly something going on in the background, as I've posted before.... maybe a possible offer on the table?Meanwhile SOLG is stuck in a price range between 22p & 23.5 and as soon as it gets to the high range it is sold back down again. We should move north once the overhang shares hit the main market at the end of the month. I'm very intrigued to find out why news is being held back and I don't think we will have to wait too long now to find out why!

Nick Mather is a very plain speaker and in my opinion what he says should be believed!I remember when our share price was in the mid forties NM stated that Ironridge IRR (another co under his umbrella) who were trading at about 15p should be on equal par with solgold if not higher... within a few days IRR took off and went like the proverbial Duracell bunny to 50p within a few days. I watched in disbelief expecting big retraces that never came and wish to hell I'd paid attention to him. In his latest brr interview he speaks of M&A activity so should we disbelieve him.... do it at your peril!

Chat on LSE alwaysevolving, nothing is confirmed but if the chat is true then he was there but missed his slot for whatever reason!I've tried to confirm the rumours but with nothing concrete.

Yes, there is talk that he was there by why miss his slot.... the biggest mining conference in the world and he missed his slot???I still stick with my theory and if I'm right we will know anytime soon!

It's thought that he was there, so why would he not give a talk? Perhaps because he has new stuff that needs an rns first? The industry knows the Solg story inside-out, so unless you have something new to say there's not much point in talking. I certainly don't see anything bad in this, indeed more of a positive, but don't let that get in the way of the MMs knocking the price :¬)

Good morning all, from what I understand Nick Mather was a no show at PDAC in Toronto(regarded as the biggest mineral conference in the world)!I have yet to get confirmation of this but if it's true then why?We can rule out illness as he would have had someone else step in. So what other reasons could there be, if it was something sinister then we would have had an RNS by now. To my mind that leaves only one reason.... if a bid is on the table then why bother talking up the company, it would be pointless. I guess if my suspicion is true we will get to know very soon, possibly today or Monday. Does anyone else have any theories that would explain his no show?

Obviously this share has lost its mojo.
But convinced it will come back.

Personally I don't think any one is going to bid until exploration is finished and they know exactly what they are bidding for. We know there is both gold and copper to be had, but not in what quantity.

Just over three weeks until we see what happens to the banksters 180 million off market shares, that should give a clue. There should also be an updated MRE at about the same time, and a back of an envelope extraction estimate should also be published before too long. We should also have a bit of info about Aguinaga too, so lots due quite soon.

I doubt it lefrene, far too market sensitive! We didn't get a peep before BHP's offer landed and look what happened to the share price after that!

No one can give you an answer to your question jovi1 as there are far too many factors. Ie. Is the ore leachable or heat treated?Strip ratios (how much spoil before you get to the ore) which shouldn't be much of a factor for Alpala as block caving will be used but it will be a factor at Aguinaga of it is open pit mining as hoped. There are far too many factors to mention but you should get an idea once the BFS lands... hope that's helpful!

This is one of my bigger investment and clearly I am disappointed with share price like many of you but I am still very confident on the long run
The only question I have (and I am no expert in mining) given the relatively low grade what would be the cost to extract the copper?
If anyone has any idea please let me know
Good luck

The drying up of news suggests to me that NM has stopped trying to appease the market as there is no point to it, we will just get an MRE every three months.
The fundamentals don't change, there's a heck of a lot of metal in Cascabel and as time goes by more and more gets proved up.

The vultures could very likely be waiting for NM to run out of cash, but there's no reason why once proved up, that the site can't be mothballed while we wait for the price of copper to rise. NM knows this game better than any of us, he will understand what's going on and play his hand accordingly. If there is a copper squeeze then new players might enter the field and catch the big old bullies off guard, that would be interesting.

Share price has fallen from 46p. With only good RNS's.
Makes no sense at all.
Does make you think someone wants to buy us out.

No stability whatsoever mam fach!As I've said before the main market is more crooked than AIM and as you so rightly said the odds are stacked against the PI, I wish we could return to AIM personally.

Thought we'd have seen a little bite more stability having moved to main market.
Alas no such luck. Odds are stacked against us private investors.
Perhaps its time to invest in FTSE 100.
But wouldn't life be boring.
