For larger short positions above .5% look at sites such as

For stock on loan, giving a reasonable approximation to the overall short position (stock has to be borrowed unless it is naked shorting) sites such as

Don't think they'll keep the lid on this much longer lefrene, we may be on an uptrend by the end of the week!!

I notice a pair of presumably hired jeremiahs on another site have cranked up their, 'the skies about to fall routine'. Tends to fuel my belief that forces are at work doing what they can to keep the price down.

Wonering - chart seems to suggest a double bottom. We could be looking at a bounce up.

Looking at figure 8 in the 19 Feb RNS suggests that drilling at Tandayama - America could prove very fruitful. It seems to be in line with the Alpala trend. I'd like to see this as a target for drilling later this year. Success here and at Aquinaga should make it possible to start guestimating just how large Cascabel could turn out to be and to put a ballpark value on it.

Just read that Friedland's very high grade copper deposit in the DRC could be a 100 year mine at a 1% cut-off. But simply cannot imagine anyone wanting to risk the DRC for a decade let alone a century!Pity as it seems to be a truly spectacular deposit.

Am in for the ride again this week....have read a few "rags" / "tipsters" talking of this being sold too far down with all the likely information updates over the coming months and maybe the seller has now cleared....DYOR etc

I'll be a little annoyed if we just have a drift up though! Hoping to have a volume spike like AMER to mark the bottom for me to then pile in with top ups!

ALways hate it when people ramp other stocks on threads. NO ramp intended but for those that like to see volume at the bottom of a downtrend then AMER may be worth a quick look today. There has been a seller in volume for a while. Never understood quite why the price was as low as it is other than operating in a risky country. WOrth a gander.

I'm in agreement with what you said last week regarding the overhang selling (if that's what it is) , we will know when it has finished as it will probably result in a big spike!Maybe this rise will cause some shorts to close, it it remains to be seen if the overhang seller has stopped yet! I think we will have a better idea by Friday!Glad to see 23p breached.... let's hope it holds!

Shorting this at this level certainly seems daft. Granted I've had the odd sleepless night thinking i was too long in this on the way down though! DOwntrend still in place until 26 gets broken but nice to move back up a bit.

I couldn't sleep at night if I was short Solg, terrorised by the thought of waking up to a takeover.

Yes a decent find at Aguinaga would be most welcome, it would be good to see this move up to where it belongs as a huge find in a favourable location.

'Cascabel's', they don't make em anymore y'know. I got a really good un, only one previous owner, honest. Yer can ave it for only $5 billion Guv.

Lefrene,

Very likely that we will get another cracker of an RNS before NM gets to do his presentation at PDAC next week. Am looking for more 2%+ copper equiv grades and more on Alpala northwest which is showing real promise.

Perhaps quickly followed by another regional exploration update and confirmation that one or both of the man-portable rigs are in position at Aguinaga.

In January the average short position was around 14 million shares. We should know the February average pretty soon.

A buyer is always trying to get the best price with the least risk. But sometimes things can flip, where a would be buyer stands off for too long waiting for the perfect grab of cheap price with guaranteed large profit. Just as he is about to pounce somebody else beats him to it. Hopefully in that scenario one gets a bidding war :¬)

Cascabel is a prize asset well worth having, there seems a high probability that the copper is shot through the whole of the property, but no careerist beancounter is going to pop his head above the parapet without absolute proof. If they all hang about waiting for perfect proof, then it's going to be a full price, if one of them has a bit of bottle they might save a themselves billion $. In the meantime NM only has to keep drilling. Mind you a rumour of buy out would flush out the shorters :¬)

Looks like you bought at the right time Mirabeau!

This is strengthening by the day

With Newcrest doubling up in Ecuador with Lundin and with drilling at Aguinaga to commence we should see increasing interest as we move forward

The big question is when will the majors pounce?

Once again we have bounced off the 20p support, let's hope we never have to test it ever again!I'm going to quit trying to second guess the MMs actions, yesterday morning after the first two buys the MMs widened the spread so you could get a much better price for selling than the price paid for the first two buys (or at least it appeared that way), I can only assume that a lot of the sells were actually buys by the rising share price All LTH's need worry about is the news coming out of the company and as long as it remains positive then the share price will take care of itself at the end of March when the placement shares enter the market!Hopefully we can gain some traction on the M&A rumors before then!Have a fab weekend all! ;@)

It may be that the magazine report which is decent and logical will calm a few nervy pi's and delay their selling, plus the analyst reports to come which IC will perhaps have wind of as they share resources with the FT.

The parasites who are manipulating here rely on fear and uncertainty so media coverage, analysts and good news between them should do the trick. Other media might pick up on it too, they often crib from each other. Then change the wording a bit:)

My initial reservations on the fund raise and subsequent price action was the comparison i made with HUR a while ago. THey raised a huge amount (50% of their market cap) at close to 50% discount to their highs at 32p. This was to raise enough to go into production in 2019. Exploration is all complete and they no just have to be able to produce the oil. THeir price dipped down to 24p post placing before clearing out the overhang and moving back up. THis was a 25% drop under placing.

Solg was placed at 25p so a 20% drop under takes us to the 20p level. HOPfully it can find traction around here but will no doubt still need a catalyst to discourage teh sellers who seem to feel bulletproof at these current levels still.

Not even the kiss of the IC can stop the game! April will arrive in due course, perhaps we will learn something.
