You're right JK...Solaris is Managed By the Alberta Group, but is not a subsidiary of Alberta Group...

The last four Alberta Group Managed companies were all sold off:

Ventana Gold $1.6BN

Augusta Resources $667M

Arizona Mining $2.1BN

Equinox Gold $4BN

And as a matter of interest...SLX.TSX.V would make a very useful 'poison pill' against a predatory takeover of SOLG...

AIMO as usual...

Are you on LKND cos you can also write blogs seeing you like writing? Just thinking? Just askin. Just wondering? However, the privilege of talking cost one lady A$50k which she couldnt pay. Hence, before pressing POST, the rules are shown in Oz.

That's a VERY defensive spread by the Market Makers...30.95/31.8...there seem to be two polarised views...

I'm getting a firm BID of 30.7 and a firm OFFER at 31.89 in 200,000...

Most unusual...

Looks like they don't know which way to turn...

AIMO as usual...

Solaris is part of a bigger group. I posted the presentation earlier. So, their MBO is to sell co*s ETC as part of the Alberta Group per their M & A record shown? So, they would not be interested from their MBO. Besides, any potential share composition would mean less control Check. Also, Solaris is NOT only in Ecuador.

Ta Ta RT. Yes, I know its not RT. In Australia, they dare NOT even mention the name. I told you that if you had posted over there, I cant imagine.....Oooooh.???

Yes, gentlemen of the jury, with lse down for chat, folks must be reading here. So with the Solgold share price now +0.95%, earlier +0.32% and at one point nearly almost down 2%, the jury is of the OPINION.....? End of topic.

Always good to have a BALANCE? Noo?

This was posted on Hannam & Partners' LinkedIn page 4 days ago...

"H&P has initiated coverage of Solaris Resources (SLS CN). An ongoing drilling programme at the company’s flagship Warintza project in SE Ecuador is, in our view, showing potential to significantly increase the known extent of this highly attractive copper porphyry deposit, driving further share price upside."

Ingo's previous role was at H&P...

How about a Solaris SOLG tie-up...MCap £275m...relatively small Board...their website front page reads like SOLG's on community, etc...releatively inexperienced CFO who isn't on the main Board...

And finally, does a specialist Committee imply 'hiving off' (not selling off) Alpala to focus on the other exciting discoveries...? Its certainly clear Marshall and O'Kane have been brought in to take Alpala forward...

AIMO as usual...

If I recall, the latest article by Mining Journal [interview with Jason Ward], there was more on Amarillo? Its on subs but pob gave an outline. Kindly check. I did read about it but not entirely sure if it was from there.

London South East is still not on yet.

Solgold turned BLUE, up further to +0.95% from 0.32% earlier.

Folks in Australia said that its nothing to do with Solgold but with DGR/IRR.

Aren't all these posts tedious?

The CFO has gone. We don't know why. Different posters have different pet theories. We will likely never know for sure. The share price seems indifferent to the event. Move on.

Sorry JL I don't understand...could you elaborate on the 'lib' and 'compliance' points?

hi goldrush...

Ingo is there for a specific purpose IMO...

He would seem an unlikely successor to Priy, as he has no accounting qualifications, indeed his first degree was in forestry...

Furthermore, given that Priy has left SOLG and DGR, why has Nick appointed Karl (who does have an accounting qualification) as interim CFO at DGR but not at SOLG (so far)...

I can, however, see a clash of roles between Ingo and Priy re corporate finance, which was very definitely my main remit as a plc GFD...

AIMO as usual...

Did you not just tell others about lib and there you go?
Just askin. Is her ACHIEVEMENT NOT EVIDENT of a A$50bn co?

Didnt people discuss to death about the PR? Evident now that the role needed compliance etc as seen by the new appointment?

I did look at her C.V by the way.

RT
Are you on LKND - you said you were a stockbroker, then today, you said something else? Just askin.

RT
Just take a LOOK YOURSELF of the NEW APPOINTEMENTS -its on the Solgold Nov 2020 presentations. Different skills needed for Solgold as said by Mather of coming NEW appointments.

Aaaah, NOW you are TONING DOWN on your dis dat from earlier or are you prevaricating? Just askin. Not sure?

Hi JL...its RP by the way not RT...

Anyhow, I thought you made an interesting point about her progress at Fortescue...

The RNS about Priy is mandatory; the one about the Committee is not; which is why his was posted first. Being a key ED and shareholder SOLG are required to give the maximum possible notice to the markets. He would also have been required to exercise any options (if relevant) and sell all his shares immediately...

In any case, his departure from DGR Global had been announced on ASX overnight and, assuming the two are connected, that would also be the reason for him being the first RNS...

Elizabeth Gaines is an interesting case study...

Her previous role was CFO of Jetset Travelworld...yes who???

Even more extraordinary she was allowed to maintain executive roles at Jetset (now Helloworld) for 33 months AFTER she became CFO of Fortescue...so you wouldn't class her as a heavy hitter...even now HLO only has a MCap of £160 million compared to FMG's £30 BILLION...

I'm all in favour of appointing talented women on merit, but comparing their cvs, Priy has far more directly relevant metals/mining experience, even now...

She's obviously talented...appointed Fortescue CEO at 44; first degree BCom, Accounting & Law, followed by a Masters at Macquarie in Applied Finance, after a school scholarship in Music...

So yes, I see your point about appointing a 'heavy hitter' to succeed Priy, but Elizabeth wasn't and the question remains, did Priy leave for better things or was he pushed...?

Having seen the outstanding ESG appointments Nick has made and the effort that went into those to find talent, it will be very interesting to see who pops up at SOLG...

AIMO as usual...

Solgold share price has TURNED BLUE, up 0.32% at 30.95p to sell and 31.95p to buy [advertised].

Porvenir Hole 2 if at 1000m has NOW EXCEEDED Hole 1 at 900m and akin to Solaries*s 1,010m.

If at 1,500m as desired or expected if mineralisation continues, will be HITTING it out of the ballpark?

To me it looks like Ingo is now the main financial man.....No room at the top for the two of them....

Ingo has the right personality, the media saavy presence....and is now trusted totally by NM....IMHO

....and I agree with rougepierre this could be part of the defences to a possible takeover approach in the wings....

I posted the majority holders of Solgold from Yahoo Finance. Did you NOT notice that Chamy, Rossey and Damt ALL HAVE NEARLY 3%+- EACH? Please re-check as I dont have the figures with me onhand right now.

So, whilst its dis dat but their money is on Nick Mather? Oh, there*s Provenir as well now? A second string to Alpala potentially?

So, per your link, its one thing and on the other ?? Wondering? Just askin?

The phrase, "by mutual agreement", always strikes me as being used in a situation of forced resignation. In normal circumstances one hears of the 'intention to leave', and the length of period of notice, and the greener grass to which they are moving.

Thus to my mind this chap has been given the opportunity to quit, or face a dismissal for whatever reason. ie, the dirty washing remains hidden, but you leave right now.

And there's still that gap to be filled!

Meanwhile, to pass the time 'waiting for Godot' here, for those who haven't read it you might like to review the angry riposte by CGP in March 2019...Priy among several who are named...

Would you consider that your thesis could be also in that category given you will NOT post on Hotcopper where it should also be posted given the position as well? Just askin? Or why not Twitter? Just askin. Rather puzzled.

You notice that the 7:03*s am RNS of today is about the Alpala Committee and the investment banker [former head of Metal division of Hannan & Partners] has gone on to this committee as the Project and Corporate Finance man? That was after the RNS about the CFO?

Do you not think that the next person will be of a more senior level akin to Elizabeth Gaines of Fortescue who is nuanced in Applied Finance of a Tier 1 Major? Just askin. Mather said he wants to emulate the growth of Fortescue in his interview with Mining Jounal.
