My main holding is MEN for this year with over £20,000 into it....only got a 1/4 of amount in SNAK which I'll keep until recovery. As I say I've banked £5K out of this previously last year and the cash can stay in.

Should settle back to 14p in coming days before further news. Fall is overdone.

Made quite a bit out of SNAK previously and could have banked more profits at 22p the other week. But will hold the 40,000 shares for recovery. It seems maybe SNAK and Vendia could have been holding out for more and Uvenco didn't want to pay more than a certain price.

What happens to Boris and Blair Jenkins stake? I doubt they'll sell it.

Termination of Offer Talks

On 24 January 2014 Uvenco UK confirmed that it was in early stage discussions with the board of SnackTime plc ("SnackTime") regarding a possible offer to be made for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of SnackTime.

Since that date, Uvenco UK has been engaged in discussions with SnackTime. Unfortunately these discussions have not led to an agreement to proceed with a formal offer and accordingly talks have now terminated.

Under Rule 2.8 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers (the "Code"), Uvenco UK, and any person deemed to be acting in concert with it, is restricted from announcing an offer or possible offer for SnackTime (and/or taking any other action which could otherwise be restricted under Rule 2.8 of the Code) within the next six months following the date of this announcement except in the circumstances set out in Note 2 to Rule 2.8 of the Code.

I think too he'll make an extension request but only because I'm sure he wants SNAK badly.

In my opinion an extension is a further buying signal. Why extend negotiations if your not interested in making an offer.

Exactly, if there was a bid, it would have come in by now IMO so I think we'll see an extension.. Hope I'm wrong ^^

Well three options for the 19th..
1) Agreed bid
2) Extension
3) Walk away

Actually, there is a 4th option which is an offer for a part of the business. This is what happen with 600 Group (SIXH) recently - although the party walked away last week...
My guess is for a short extension as why wait to the last minute to agree a bid?

The trades etc won't make a difference now - just got to wait for the 19th but may start rising in advance again. Not long now.
