SKG announces price increase for brown recycled containerboard

09 Mar 2017 −

Smurfit Kappa Group (SKG) has announced its intention to raise prices for brown recycled containerboard across all European markets by €40/t.

The company reports it wants to charge more from 3 April. The increase is due to unprecedented recovered paper prices and the rise of other input costs. It is also supported by good European demand combined with increasing exports, says SKG

I can see some new money coming in over the next 4 weeks prior to the dividend payment. But outside this temporary effect, the market demand and dynamic of pricing is looking strong in this sector at SKG are market leaders - so I expect good share price growth over the coming months

Hi Phil, know the Smurfit part well.

My price exception on a number stocks has been too cautious of late,
AZN in particular, GRG thought might come back, wishful thinking on part probably!.
