27/3/2017 10:22 | If International Paper Co. were ever interested, with the $/£ now would be a good time.... The old story (2015), more compelling now I'd say.... | soundbuy
27/3/2017 09:38 | hi phil, a bit grey and overcast here today, much like the market mood. Had a listen to the recent conference call, the Company appears in pretty robust shape. A reoccurring theme throughout the update was 2016 record results were achieved against multiple significant headwinds. It looks a very credible performance. Another standout was major CAPEX investments made over the last 3 years should enhance efficiency and position the company well re competitors. All just my take only. | essentialinvestor
27/3/2017 09:15 | No sign of our seller yet today . Morning everyone. | philanderer
27/3/2017 07:30 | Even with the recent fall SKG is up around 10% in 12 weeks, need to look at the SKG share price 3 and 6 months ago for some context imv. | essentialinvestor
27/3/2017 07:23 | Smurfit Kappa to increase brown kraftliner prices by Euro 50/tonne in Europe, effective May 1 AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, 24 March 2017 (Press Release) - SKG announces its intention to increase Brown Kraftliner across all European markets (including UK, Ireland and Mediterranean region) by 50 euros per tonne. The announcement is driven by strong global demand. This will come into effect on Monday May 1st -------------------- As Smurfit Kappa are "long" on Kraft this means that this announcement is immediately earnings enhancing. And yet the share price dropped nearly 4% on relatively light trading..... I am at a loss to understand this movement | moorsie2
25/3/2017 10:16 | Decided to add a few more Monday if lower. Re-read the FY results this AM and very little not to like. Accept the cyclical element which the current rating may allow for. Input prices can also impact. Worth also keeping in mind the strong run up from November, so unsurprising that some may be locking in gains. | essentialinvestor
24/3/2017 20:28 | Politicians eh red ! :-D FTSE futures unchanged now from London close. | philanderer

24/3/2017 18:45 | This was the first share i ever bought in 1998. Doubled then back to square one then doubled again. Its a cyclical so you'll have a rush for the exit when it turns. That'll be before there are obvious signs that it should fall. Good to see it well above the price the staff paid for them when they floated again. It wasn't a good story just after flotation | smicker
24/3/2017 18:29 | EI It will not be the last time that you get the timing wrong. As long as the results are robust, we can only believe that things will turn around soon. At least it goes xd for 57.6 cents on 20 April. Maybe that will underpin the share price in the short term. | redartbmud
24/3/2017 17:37 | You too EI ; twelve days until Ibiza and some warm sunshine :-) | philanderer
24/3/2017 17:29 | Hi phil, thanks for that. Might have a few more next week if feeling brave ) good weekend. | essentialinvestor
24/3/2017 17:26 | EI, just noticed thanks. Looks like triple bottom on the chart. I`ll keep a close watch next week. They`ve had some poor comments lately. Just been looking at the delayed reported trades here on SKG printed after the close of play . We`ve definitely had a seller(s) unloading throughout the day. No chance of a bounce until this is over. Someone was quite happy to sell 10,000 @ 2076.4717p | philanderer

24/3/2017 14:24 | Big jump in short time. Hmm.... Timing the market. Maybe not the time to buy then. | redartbmud
24/3/2017 14:21 | It's come from near £18 in just a few months, so would think some are sitting on fat profits, may be some top slicing. | essentialinvestor
