10/1/2023 16:50 | Yep - they see the real value here and want the added benefit of that dividend. | laughton
10/1/2023 15:54 | So far today this has risen a lot higher than the value of the divi that goes ex on Thursday. The intrinsic value of the company must be attracting the right buyers. | schofi2
10/1/2023 14:59 | I certainly hope not | baracuda2
10/1/2023 13:41 | Lovely. Blue sky on that chart. Going vertical now. I don't want to jinx it. I dare say that we will stop to draw breath after the ex-div date. | lord gnome
10/1/2023 12:53 | Looking good now, hopefully it will get back to where it was five years ago. £1 certainly on the cards, with a good divi and a good chance it will increase dramatically once the debt has been paid down. | schofi2
10/1/2023 07:43 | Contract Renewals and share price continue to do well. | this_is_me
06/1/2023 20:16 | LUCKY YOU !!! That is why you look for high yield shares as you don’t pay dividend tax & Income Tax . | stevensupertrader
06/1/2023 19:47 | Lol. I don’t actually, comes from living in a tax free jurisdiction. | deanowls
06/1/2023 15:56 | There is another rate called upper tax rate at 39.35% in tax year 2022/2023 - so unless you are small time dividend seekers , you can ignore my last two threads informing you the higher tax rate and upper tax rate !!!! Sleep well | stevensupertrader
06/1/2023 15:53 | I be. Deanowls didn’t know this tax information on higher tax rate !!!!! | stevensupertrader
06/1/2023 15:44 | I am pointing to most of the SNWS investors on this website ADVFN are small time investors from what I read .obviously I’d you are a higher tax payer - the tax rate goes to 33.75 % after the 1st £2k allowance for your information . | stevensupertrader

06/1/2023 15:07 | You are surprised - I do agree that for the pass months or a long time ,SNWS was not day trader stock but these couple of weeks are day traders favour counter for your information The dividend tax rate is 8.75% after the first £2k allowance not 7.5% | stevensupertrader

06/1/2023 15:01 | I apologise in advance if offending anyone but Smiths News is not a stock that I associate with Super day traders or even poor day traders. Personally I do not want to listen to the views of those who are here for seven minutes and then fly off to another stock for another brief stay. I prefer to engage with longer term investors not traders and tend to know who to trust using that logic. Many post really informed and useful views on companies to help my long term investment decisions. Screaming SELL or BUY comments would be better on a traders only website or platform. | davidosh
06/1/2023 14:55 | For all dividend seekers - if you are BASIC tax Payer - one has to pay 7.5% tax on dividend received for tax year - bear that in mind !!!! unless your total income is below the Personal Tax Allowance . Next week in ex -dividend date 12 Jan.2023 - SNWS will reflect the dividend of 2.75p on the opening trading day. | stevensupertrader
06/1/2023 14:24 | Sell off doesn’t meant I didn’t buy back ??? Lord Gnome !!! - I am a super day-trader for your information . I bought back and sold again today at 52.56p cannot get at 53p only small tiny under 1000 shares sellers can get this 53p | stevensupertrader
06/1/2023 13:47 | Stockopedia StockRank of 99 and qualifies for 7 long screens! Fcst p/e 5, yielding above 8% and excellent visibility. Ex-divi of 2.75p on 12th Jan. Looks like a 52w high here now. This could really motor now imo. | aishah
06/1/2023 13:26 | Oh Dear Stevennotsosupertrad | lord gnome
06/1/2023 12:49 | I guess there will be many who bought only a few months ago that will be happy setting limit sell orders at 53p. Maybe next week they'll wish they'd set their limits somewhat higher? Price still going North - so there are still plenty of buyers around. | laughton
06/1/2023 12:39 | Yesterday when I posted again that there were loads of selling - LORD GNOME was begun to say that I was Soliciting SELL as LOTD GNOME when even as far as when I posted my 1st chat message - I was given advance information and now SELLERS ARE QUEUING UP to sell when the price touched 53p | stevensupertrader
