Yep - they see the real value here and want the added benefit of that dividend.

So far today this has risen a lot higher than the value of the divi that goes ex on Thursday. The intrinsic value of the company must be attracting the right buyers.

Lovely. Blue sky on that chart. Going vertical now. I don't want to jinx it.
I dare say that we will stop to draw breath after the ex-div date.

Looking good now, hopefully it will get back to where it was five years ago. £1 certainly on the cards, with a good divi and a good chance it will increase dramatically once the debt has been paid down.

There is another rate called upper tax rate at 39.35% in tax year 2022/2023 - so unless you are small time dividend seekers , you can ignore my last two threads informing you the higher tax rate and upper tax rate !!!! Sleep well

I apologise in advance if offending anyone but Smiths News is not a stock that I associate with Super day traders or even poor day traders.
Personally I do not want to listen to the views of those who are here for seven minutes and then fly off to another stock for another brief stay.

I prefer to engage with longer term investors not traders and tend to know who to trust using that logic. Many post really informed and useful views on companies to help my long term investment decisions.

Screaming SELL or BUY comments would be better on a traders only website or platform.

For all dividend seekers - if you are BASIC tax Payer - one has to pay 7.5% tax on dividend received for tax year - bear that in mind !!!!
unless your total income is below the Personal Tax Allowance . Next week in ex -dividend date 12 Jan.2023 - SNWS will reflect the dividend of 2.75p on the opening trading day.

Ex-divi of 2.75p on 12th Jan.

Looks like a 52w high here now. This could really motor now imo.

Oh Dear Stevennotsosupertrader. Have you forgotten? On 19 December you posted that you had sold out completely at 43.8p. Big mistake. I'm surprised that you are still posting here. Yes, some selling at 53p. Perhaps the people who bought off you at 43.8 are taking their profits.

I guess there will be many who bought only a few months ago that will be happy setting limit sell orders at 53p.

Maybe next week they'll wish they'd set their limits somewhat higher?

Price still going North - so there are still plenty of buyers around.
