Hi, there. All familiar names. We must all be using similar tactics. I've got a lot of these shares that yield 6%+, now. They don't seem to set the world alight but it's nice how my portfolio holds up when the market plummets and my dividend income has been increasing nicely in the last few years as reinvested income buys new income more quickly when everything is stuck on a low rating. Eventually, the capital value will follow. It's remarkable how unpopular high income shares are, given pitiful savings rates. The HIX index is down about 3% this year and is down since the start of 2010. I'm pleased to say I'm doing a bit better, despite extracting my living costs from the dividend income.

Hello again Aleman. We seem to be in quite a few of the same shares.

Value, reputable management and a good yield make a good combination for anyone I guess; not to mention robust performance in the downturn, and some enticing acquisitions and growth potential at least offsetting the obvious print decline. IMO.

Bought a few of these this morning. They keep turning out resilient results and the acquisition makes prospects for raising the 9% yield look good.

Shares mag tip just what we needed to get through the £1 resistance.

Yield a mere 8% now, but still a lowly PER.

The share price has a habit of spikung up and then getting sold down. I expect that the same will happen again and that this will repeat until whatever large holder(s) that are selling have finished.

I have been using Veet for several years and have never experienced any problems with it whatsoever. The negative rants regarding this gloriously effective deplilatory are clearly attempts by Veet's competitors to trash this company's excellent product. It holds a prized position on the top shelf of my bathroom cabinet and has done since 2002. I attain perfectly smooth results, much to the delight of myself and others - it's a clear winner every time!
