05/2/2007 14:05 | CR: how do you interpret that RNS? Looks to me as though they now have 5.4% in CFDs, plus another 0.632% in actual shares, total 6.032%, but it's not completely clear. | diogenesj
05/2/2007 12:47 | updated, let me know if anything else is needed | cambium
05/2/2007 12:43 | PS - that down trend of highs has now been broken to the upside. CR | cockneyrebel
05/2/2007 12:42 | My mistake diogenes sorry, it was 5.2%, although they have just announced acquiring more - now @ 5.4%. The O's, you need Cambium to change the header. CR | cockneyrebel
02/2/2007 19:10 | ok, cheers CR | cockneyrebel
02/2/2007 19:02 | CR ..I'll thank Nickcduk on the ITW thread...where we are both enjoying the announcement there ;-)...nice volume here and thru the spread...and as ever agree with your comments above. | kalmar
02/2/2007 18:21 | The increased Hanover buying suggests they are putting together a stake to get their guys on the board perhaps. This is what they have done elsewhere. Fidelity have wanted Chris Masters out and Richard Findlay in place but I wouldn't mind betting Hanover directors will be the compromise answer. They can demonstrate their turnaround performance elsewhere and if the board resign they will have the guys to put in place - look at Spirent, that's what their directors did and Bramson said okay, bub-bye. If Hanover get to run this outfit these will double in th short to medium term imo. It looks a classic stock that they go after, something that has traded in the past way above where it is now, lost it's way, on the rocks etc. The chart looks a timely point to buy too imo. 380p back in July 2000. But if you look at the chart these had good support in Jan 03 @ 60p so the recent dip looks a nice buy point imo. CR | cockneyrebel
02/2/2007 17:34 | What is the total % Hanover now have guys? | gswredland

02/2/2007 11:30 | doubling investment is ambitious from here, no? I'd like to see it, I have a small stake but at a much higher price (80p if I remember correctly)...I pay SMG little mind now since I recovered my loss elsewhere but it would be nice to see those levels again... The TV advertising industry by all accounts is meant to be recovering of late... | carl79
02/2/2007 11:15 | I owe nickcduk a thank you for pointing it out. CR | cockneyrebel

02/2/2007 11:04 | Ta for that Cambo, always best to have charts in the header. Not sure about this yet - which means it'll go up 20%! With the warning on trading the fundamentals don't look great on my first ever brief reading of them, so I assume Hanover are in for something on the merger situation. What do peeps reckon might happen here? | rivaldo
02/2/2007 11:03 | Had a cfd bet myself, cheers CR | cambium

02/2/2007 10:35 | Interesting that Hanover have taken 7% here. I hope you're all aware of Hanover and their involvement @ FOUR, ELM, SPT and RNO - fabulous recovery play investors. I grabbed some SMG earlier on the basis that Hanover are much smarter than me and they wouldn't be in this without believing they can double their investment imo. CR | cockneyrebel
26/1/2007 00:03 | just watch | acornoptical |
