I guess no one is about on here anymore - cant blame you, boring aint it?! Papa, if you are still looking in - BGT eventually went up around 80% from 8.5 - 15.5p...retraced a tad since - hope you managed to get some...

Anyone any idea on where this could end up given the proposed merger comes off at a nil premium?? I assume 80p+ is no longer a possibility...

Papa if you are still out there - remember BGT?? It is up 30% since the last time I posted (a couple of months back) following a push today on the back of positive news...more movement may come tomorrow since it closed strongly so worth a look if you are looking for a speculative punt...

another nice rise today so far. Looks like there may be a buyer in the background... With ITV already holding 17% of these I wonder how things are going to shape up...

Starting to get interesting.

I remember reading something about the rules a while back ... not too sure.

I am not confident of 70p+ but until the details are ironed ou who knows. I only hold a very small amount of stock here and don't pay too much attention to it...will watch more closely during the next couple of weeks

do you think we'll see the seventies again this side of the deal..?

I was under the impression that UTV couldn't make a fresh approach within 6 months of the last bid under the M&A rules - either SMG had to approach them or another bidder had to come to the fore. Does this mean that SMG approached UTV or have I misunderstood the rules.

If, however, ITV also became interested again who knows what could happen...

nice rise today - hopefully get a few more similar rises before Christmas.

yes also in GGG - certainly more exciting than this share.

I'm hoping things might get interesting here too, theres lots of M&A talk going on in this sector.

Need more info - early days yet and these two have history...A deal will probably be done now although I suspect it will take more than this to get back to the 80's

OneGB - you are in another of my shares I think - is it GGG??

ITV have rejected the NTL merger bid, wonder if it may spark interest in SMG again. Seems to be lots of behind the scenes horseplay with BSkyB buying a large stake in ITV to upset Branson.

If ITV go, then we won't see 70p for some little while.

I still hold albeit a tiny amount. I said that if the takeover news was not substantiated we would be back at the 55p mark and here we are again...

What a fall huh, does anyone remeber this being 90p +??

Papad - I dont suppose you have been keeping an eye on GGG since I mentioned it to you? 20% rise today...

watch BGT next week, I expect movement as they are due to see confirmation of a £1.1m instiutional placing at 11p - share price closed today at 10p (down even though there were more buys than sells - I know because I bought and a fellow holder bought and those amount to more than the sells). Plust the tomb raider game was released on monday and has already sold out in Amazon.co.uk so early signs look promising...hope your other investments are doing well!

Have a good weekend
