they stated in the rights issue they would return the procceds of the virgin sale to share holders .debt free would be very good for the long term i am because of share price now along term holder. the large institutions may demand a return or special div.vod did both share consolidation and special divi .

I doubt if the special dividend will be in a form of a free lunch...those days are gone...more like a buy back, pay off/reduce debt and or share consolidate...shareholders are usually treated like muppets...

ACORNOPTICAL - Do you think they might change their mind about the special dividend? And do you think maybe they should anyhow withdraw it considering that now would be a good time to be debt free with the way advertising is going?

No ex divi date announced yet.
Completion on 30th was for the sale of Virgin Radio.
After that (30th June) they will need to call another EGM to propose the return of the £30m? to shareholders by way of a special divi and then we should get an ex divi date.

i think the returning of cash to share holders was a sweetner for investors to take the rights issue up it was said that on the sale of virgin the co. would return the capital to share holders in the most tax effective way.

I dunno, what are these sill auctions the stock goes into? Looks like the mm's are trying to scare a few out - meanwhile there was a near 400K buy late yesterday. If there's a buyer like that about why do they keep flicking into silly auctions for just 6K or so?

Looks like a load of nonsense and there's a buyer around getting stock via mm nonsense imo.

Hmm, did the market get a whisper about an RNS from the company about the CEO and sell off?

RNS out but it's a nothing RNS - sold off ahead of it, bounced straight after it.

Possibly a great buying op - 3.15p per share return to shareholders at this price has the stock on a net price to buy of 10.35p with a 1.4p+ eps forecast the most recent after the sale from Investec.

a few buyers today on a weak day.

Personally I think most investors don't register there's 3.15p a share coming back to shareholders here, but it will register better on the EGM statement to give it the ok imo.

A bit of news on the sale of Pearl & Dean sould drive real interest too imo.

This must be the most famous bit of ad music ever

Missed this last week, The Times reckon Pearl & Dean aren't far from being sold now.

Latest forecasts I can find is Investec saying 1.47p eps. After getting the 3.15p back to shareholders that makes the PE 7 if you can catch that 13.7p the ask flicks to now and again.

Interesting article that above, I saw that add and it was pretty captivating.

yep, I think that will be a little while off.

I think the news here should be positive from here out tho and following the directors when the shares are on the up is usually a good idea where Hanover is concerned.

I had another 30K this afternoon - these are just way too cheap.

Gonna get over 3p back in cash somehow. The options look so well timed and knowing SMG there's more good news not far off imo.

Time To Share - what divi? They said there would be no divi this year. If you are talking about the 3.15p they are returning to shareholders there hasn't been an EGM to agree it yet and I expect the date will come with the EGM.

OT -

CR - good thing about the PLM stuff is repeat orders for media so long as the back-up unit is installed - you don't get that with HDD. It's also 50 yr retention and they have just launched new software to differentiate data to make sure the right archive is used - importnat stuff goes to 50 yrs optical disk. Add to that it's green (low power) and they have what looks like a decent tie-up with Agilisys. It is coming together.

Some PLM configuration are now $10M each.

GAM also bought in.

I bought too early (made money on the run-up when you were in last then out again) but expect to turn a profit none the less.

Good luck.

Well with the news release today it appears we will need to wait till at least the 20th before we know how/when they are going to distribute the £30m.

I tried phoning the number but it was an answering machine. If anyone phones and gets info about the divi and cutt off date can they post on here.

PLM just seems to be in an industry where as fast as you develop a new fast drive some beggar comes along with something even better and cheaper a month later - Computer hardware seems to be a ghastly industry to be in in my opinion.

PLM may be a deal too far but when I look at the sell price of the kit I can't see why they couldn't get to $100M valuation and sell it on - the TAM is in the $ Billions and not fully exploited given new retention compliance needs.

The CEO also have a $6M payout if he gets to the 30p+ region - it's currently 5.75p. The new CEO has a record of selling companies on and they have started to make some headway.

Next set of results will be awful but cost-cutting a plenty has taken place and they are starting to get some traction and attention in end markets.
