So much for my short term trade comments yesterday!

Looks like it will take some time for Hanover to whip this company in to shape, but the longer term prospects could still reward patient investors.

The strategic update will be announced tomorrow then, giving us further details of Hanover's turnaround plan for the business.

When Spirent released their operating review on 27th April, the shares raced up by 20%, so perhaps we could be in for a nice rise here in due course?

In any case, SMG are at the bottom end of their trading range, so it could be a good time to top up for a short term trade IMHO.

Is it something to do with about 600,000 shares. At 62p = 372,ooo pounds.A lot of money when you have only about 3m pounds of cash.

See my last posting.Amendment passed almost 20/1.Could someone post the gist of the amendment.I know it was a share scheme to enhance the management.

Yes the girl said to contact Barclays and they would send it or down load it.However i was able to find out it was an incentive scheme.Just wondering have Hanover done this thing before. If their package dilutes the shares its not good for ordinary share holders.Maybe we will find out tomorrow. The share price seems to have firmed up over the last 10 mins of trading. As far as i remember Hanover have been a buyer at 70p.If they should announce tomorrow another large buy at these prices it should move the price.Looking forward to what they say in the long term incentive plan. From what i know about Hanover they are no mugs.Come on Hanover give us all a boost. The market is well up today lets move with it.

As far as i know tomorrow the share holders will be voting in giving an incentive package to the management to turn the company around.I am not a shareholder i have some in a cfd account so i dont really know what the package is as i didnt receive the letter. With the shares at 62/63 i hope they dont get a lot of free options to buy the stock for next to nothing. Now is the time for the management and Hanover to buy in the market as we have to do.In the other hand if they give the share holders the same incentives then that would be fair.I rang the company to day but they wouldnt tell me much as im not a shareholder.I asked was it say the sale of Virgin and was told it was this incentive plan.Has anyone any thoughts on the idea.

They will announce further details of turnaround plans end of June. This will leave SMG with a stronger balance sheet on which to move forwardand rebuild shareholder value.

Yep, seems nice and firm around this level imo.

RNO, CSLT and SPT all doing it for Hanover - these must pick up next imo.

AND ARE TOPPING UP OR BECAUSE THE SHARES ARE STILL LESS THAN WHAT HANOVER PAID

Thank you.Does that mean the price is unlikely to go up because the MM have 21,400 shares they can sell at 61.25 and someone will buy 3090 and give you 60.75.If that is the case Level 2 is worth the money to a trader.

3,090 @ 60.75
21,400 @ 61.25
for what it is worth.
