The SMC situation has not changed since its last trading statement given by Sir Rodney about a month ago.

There will be a trading statement along with the AGM statement on June 12th according to sources close to the company.

Sir Rodneys statement from a month ago....."These contract wins underpin the management's positive view on the Group's trading position and also their confidence in the outlook for 2007"

Right then gents,

Just bought into this one so Im in with you. Appreciate its been a selling day but thought I would break the trend. Can see this as a very good medium-long term investment.

As I stated in a previous post, I work in the construction industry and know for a fact that it is busy with work, with march being the busiest month for the construction industry in history. Wouldn't touch main contractors or building services companies but architects are different, higher margins and a growing requirement for better designed buildings.

The market makers appear to be "quite happy" (my words) to take stock on at 86p at the moment. This in itself might suggest that the forthcoming AGM etc will increase confidence further. BR.

Spread is getting closer with nearly 86.5p being offered.The action will start before the agm on 12th June when I believe a confident statement will be made.That 3 weeks to take a position because I think the share price will at 1.10p 1.20p.The latest forcasts from Eddison are 51m turnover and 8m pbt so very cheap if the confidence returns.Could they better these figures?

Yes, all looking good here. Offset my earlier loss (at 180ish, but fortunately a small position) with a big chunk at 85 and will look to add as we head back to £1 and beyond.
