As a plc, SRSP is due to publish its accounts and hold its AGM by 30th September. It should give 21 days notice of the AGM, so we should get that notice no later than next Wednesday 9th.

Acc to Sirius AR "The Ejulebe Ueld comprises some 15 hydrocarbon-bearing horizons, producing oil, associated and non-associated gas (including condensate). The Ueld has produced approximately 14 million barrels (“mmbbls”) since 1998, is currently producing c.250 bopd ."


So, something has happened to allow Atlas to get producing more than a miserly 250 bopd. What?

Bum. At least I explore a few possibly meaningful connections. Speculation is speculation, and inevitably much stuff will be well wide of the mark. But on occasions things do turn up eg that $40m deal on 114 successfully pulled off by the Contract and Procurement Specialist employed at Moni Pulo. We know from AR that Sirius was seeking to secure that exact same figure. There`s every chance that Mayowa Abiola was negotiating with the Sirius finance gurus.

If Barak, short-term finance job done, really has given way to Africa Finance Corporation to provide substantial long-term funding for high impact O&G projects, one might expect an outfit such as Sirius to be involved in AFC`s infrastrucure developments with a strong focus on NGLs, building up a signifcant indigenous player in the energy supply market. Basically an O&G services provider alongside established mid-sized Nigerian companies needing extra technical assistance to optimise production capabilities.

Potential is there. Update and deliver .....
