If the reporting of the State Governor’s comment earlier this year is accurate it’s probably a quite purposeful and not so subtle ‘hurry up and get moving’ plea to Sirius. Ondo has also waited many years to see these assets being developed and like us, must have also assumed that with fundraising last December more progress would have been made. The challenge is that there’s probably wider interdependences and complex moving parts outside of just the Ondo assets alone but they’ll understandably be applying pressure for their own interests sake.

Sirius will no doubt have needed to reassure Ondo stakeholders that once Cosl Force is fully fighting fit it will be very active in Nigerian waters for a long time before it needs to return.

According to this report, the Ondo State Governor has said:

“We have the Ororo OML 95. We have the OPL 241 . These are what a number of us called ‘great assets’.

” We’re ready to work with anybody. We are ready to partner anybody who’s interested. These assets, particularly, oil blocks are veritable tools for economic development.

“The important thing is that we can’t allow it to just lie down there and at the end of the day licenses are withdrawn “.

Very strange. It seems he is talking as if there are no current plans to drill either Ororo or OPL241. It is in stark contrast with what we believe to be the situation with SRSP and the consortium. It's a conundrum!

And recall that Mark H said we had all permits and permissions. Although he also said we would be on site and drilling by now.

Don't think anyone would have signed up or we would have got to brink of production with all the deals and financing in place if there was that kind of issue.Problem as always rig is non existent or on site so until that changes we are stuck at groundhog day here.

As a shareholder I'm trying to maintain some optimism here and without being too negative I couldn't but help notice the following pattern emerging, Lek Oil, Oilex Ltd and COPL(rns today) are all having problems obtaining their rights to agreed field percentages and are having to resolve the situations via High Court hearings. Ondo State, who claim to own 100% of our partner, Owena Oil and Gas, don't seem too enthusiastic at the prospect of the purported up and coming drilling programme at Ororo...in fact fail to acknowledge it at all. I wonder if this situation has any baring on the previously given drill dates. You would have thought that Ondo State would acknowledge the SRSP/Owena/Guarantee P partnership?...yet the article below suggests otherwise. Surely the SRSP management would have been in contact with the State regarding drilling and the projected programme ...however, the response from the State is disappointing. The current State Governor will not even acknowledge the well documented rights of Guarantee Petroleum.

Good post deadly I agree.I ain't going no where till I see my hard earned money back and a decent profit on top, even if i do need a 150 percent rise just to break even.

there is no love lost between the bod and most pi folk invested here detective captain, ive got no time what so ever for the bod i just want a return on my money asap then i will be gone. just hope the fact the bod will want a payday out of this here one day will mean the fact we all end up with a payday hopefully. i bet that will stick in a few people throats knowing that at long last after years of waiting the long suffering pi investors will see a return. i bet the bod didn't realise what a die hard bunch of investors we are and how some folk have stuck on in here through a lot of pain

As a possibility... they announced the rig is two weeks into a four week recertification... what if that failed? Could that be the reason for the delay? Just wondering. Still should have told us either way.
