That's it!! That's where we've all been going wrong, we've been looking for a rig, and all the while it's been right under our feet!

@drrichard: I would expect them to carry the dunnage with them, but if not it wouldn't take very long to load it on board. Also, the dock area where they are berthed is where they carry out engineering work etc. rather than for cargo which is the Rashid area, coupled with the time they have spent in there, and the attendant of the tug, I'm quite sure they are having work done.

It seems several of the COSCO / COSL pieces of kit are having problems!

How about an RNS reach announcement, along the lines of "We estimate another week or so, but don't hold us to it. The recert is almost done blah blah"
Just something to appease the shareholders.

The silence to sum it up is not great.

Would they have to get quayside to take on board the large quantities of lumber needed to cover th e decking in preparation of loading the rig Vatna?

Zhi Yuan Kou set sail for Singapore. No real surprise there.
So there are still two HLVs free at the moment, the GPO Grace and the Xiang He Kou. The latter seems to be having some work done at the quayside, but once they get that done, whatever it is, she would be my best guess for taking on the Force.

Of course that depends upon what stage the Force's recertification is at.

I am considering seriously of building up a large position here.
Finances sorted, placing out of the way, big/massive loan in place for more drilling, oil in place and proven, will soon generate cash.
What else do one need to feel secure enough?

Chris Shea, Group Director of Marketing of COSL, said: “We are excited to work in collaboration with Sirius Petroleum to enable the Company to reach first oil. It is important for oil service providers and operators to pool their resources and strengths making operations more efficient and cost effective thereby creating value for both parties.”
According to Sirius Petroleum, independent petroleum consultants, Rockflow Resources , recently produced a Competent Persons Report on the Ororo field attributing 2C contingent resources, net to Sirius, of 11.5mmboe. Rockflow calculated a NPV10 valuation of over $49m, net to Sirius, at a flat, real Brent price of $50/bbl and flat, real gas price of $3.50/mcf.
“The announcement of the COSL Vendor Finance Contract brings the Company an important step closer to first hydrocarbons and the unlocking of this valuable resource,” Sirius said.
