Coincidentally Enterprise Oil tried to buy Lasmo -

It successfully fought off a hostile bid from Enterprise Oil in 1994.

If the BP rumour is true they will RNS it in due course along with everything else I'd imagine.
Until then we sit and wait and watch the crummy manipulated share price bounce about at pitiful levels while we hope we see all this news come out within the next few weeks.

Just spotted that too HT -

The company’s board is chaired by John Hogan, former chief operating officer of Lasmo, with non-executive directors including former BP chief geologist David Jenkins, and John van der Welle, former group treasurer of Enterprise Oil.

Enterprise Oil from their Wiki -

Enterprise Oil was formed in 1983 to exploit the North Sea oil production assets of the then state-owned British Gas plc:

Another tenious link too!

BumHammer...

It's just a case of disappointment at the fact that no confirmation of the BP rumour was acknowledged. I'm still open minded on this story, mainly because of the article below, where a spokesman for 'Hurricane' also declined to comment on the same rumour....that turned out to be true.

and we have a tenuous link ...

'Mr. Gregory, BSc (Hons) Mech Eng has had a distinguished career spanning over 40 years continuous service in drilling and operations in the oil and gas sector, holding senior operational drilling roles with a number of companies including with Lasmo...'

(bottom of the article)
'The company’s board is chaired by John Hogan, former chief operating officer of Lasmo, ....'

et voila, bounce off 0.9p. So if they must insist on painting textbook charts, then we will take a few days to get to 1.2p at which point the traders will pile in and it will be fueled to 2p.

For anyone who believes in this sort of thing, the chart has formed a very nice cup and handle.
Only problem is, the handle seems to have broken off now!

If there's any truth in the BP rumour then it will constitute a leak and warrants an rns Monday morning. If there's no rns then it's a P@D operation.

I read that BP is about to shove in £4m Project debt finance for Ororo drilling. £4m is a quarter of a peanut to them, so they prob have a clause which gives them an option of first refusal, once 2P results are confirmed, to go in on much bigger block assets to be developed. In BP language, £400m.

Partner 4, eh?
