Raising the necessary cash to get O2 into operation has never been an issue, as shown by the willingness of a no. of big name partners to proceed with drilling without seeking upfront fee payment of any note. The Ajami $5m "shortfall" was simply a concocted device manufactured precisely in order to stop Ororo going ahead as a standalone, by linking its field development to other, much bigger assets.

The forthcoming consortium financial backing has little to do with initiating the Ororo marginal field, and everything to do with strategically linked longer term developments regarding 2 adjacent oil blocks. Think 200mmboe for 95 and 1bbnoe for 241 in order to realise why Schlum et al are here. Certainly not for a 20mmboe marginal, upon which the current share price is based. Assets are 60x bigger than the figure thrown out so far. aimo

No, STPL is the subsidiary which can be used to take control of the next stage of operations following O&G extraction.

"Midstream activities include the processing, storing, transporting and marketing of oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. The midstream and downstream activities take place after the initial production phase and through to the point of sale. Many oil and gas companies are considered integrated because of their ability to combine upstream, midstream and downstream activities as part of their overall operations."

Is this how we're progressing non Ororo assets?

Sirius has an agreement in place with Taglient Oil Nigeria Limited, a Nigerian private company owned and managed by Nigerian nationals who have considerable knowledge and contacts within the Nigerian Oil industry.Under this agreement, Taglient has agreed, among other things, to use all its reasonable efforts to seek out opportunities for Sirius to acquire interests in oil and gas fields in Nigeria. A Nigerian joint-venture company has also been formed and named Sirius Taglient Petro Limited. This is necessary for the grant of permits and licences to carry out business locally.

I've had quite a hefty top up today.
Probably timed it just right too Sherl0ck.

I agree with Bron, the trades are quite odd and definitely make you question the transfer theory.

Managed to buy a few more. Odd trades and consistent volumes around this level. Perhaps Bron is correct with his transfer theory. Either way happy just to sit back, relax and wait for the inevitable good stuff to unfurl. Surely can't be too far away now.

There's something we can agree upon. :o )

I'm usually able to 'get the gist' of what some here try to convey - and just chuckle inwardly. But pointing out errors - especially when I'm capable of the occasional deviation myslef (a-hem), really would wind people up.

What's a "favor"?

Its not just spelling Jenny - its mainly grammar - can't believe that a lot of posters do not have the discipline to read through and correct before posting.

Good spot 6cer - I shall amend forthwith -
Although, I might point out that the 'i' before 'e' rule, isn't an exact sceince is it?
Interesting that you don't 'pick up' on the egregious spellings of others - not as if there's a lack of scope on this BB.

(I'm not anticipating an explaination)

Spot on Xerot, its just absolute nonsense aimed at a few revelers from plantpots.

The fact this guy is an online drag act turns my stomach.
Sticking pins in my feet is more amusing.

We're doomed Jenny....you heard it here first. The only thing to brighten our weekend would be an RNS saying the survey went well and the rig is being deployed. Is anyone from the board listening?

The PIGB has nearly 2000 pieces of legislation, the one that caught my eye was that 'The Minister shall cause all Articles of Associations to provide that the Board, at the AGM to submit plans for the coming twelve months.'

The Senate yesterday (26/4) said barring all unforeseen circumstances, it would pass the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill (PIGB) on May 16 and 17, 2017.Chairman, Senate committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Tayo Alaosoadura made the disclosure when the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington visited the committee yesterday.Alaosoadura revealed that aspects of the Bill that would take care of the host communities and the fiscal aspect of the industry would be read for the first time today and passed before the end of the year. His words: "We ought to have passed the PIGB yesterday, but because of the demise of Senator Isiaka Adeleke, we decided to hold a special session in his honour. That was why we could not pass it. But we have already agreed that the bill will be considered and passed between May 16 and 17."
