01/11/2016 11:24 | The world's biggest oil service giant continues its 5-yr involvement with a £10m AIM O&G junior that has no funding, no assets, no production. How odd. | dr rosso
01/11/2016 11:18 | Schlumberger. $35.5 billion revenue from continuing operations (FY15) | htrocka2
01/11/2016 10:22 | Actually I wonder if those 522m earmarked for oilfield services might be about to be shared out between Havoc and Schlumberger, rather than all for Big S. After all, both are oilfield services Companies. Divide between them EXACTLY 25% of current shares in issue. When the other allotments go out, H and S holdings % will both get diluted. On 3.8bn fully issued, Havoc would hold 260m + 100m 2p warrants. Total 360m = 9% of the total and is in keeping with their investment stakes in other ventures. S would hold 7%. Is Big S being allowed to take a 7% stake in return for a SOUND-type FMA in which a substantial portion of the drilling costs are paid? The Q remains as to who'll be getting the other 835m being put up for allotment. Certainly the whole thing is being handled in-house. I remind that both Havoc/Schlum are not oil or gas production Companies, they both act as service providers to the industry. | dr rosso

01/11/2016 08:48 | 'According to the Energy Commission, gas production from all oil fields would make available an average total of 300-500 mmscfd by 2020 if developments of the fields are carried out as planned.' '...if developments of the fields are carried out as planned.' So a plan DOES exist whereby ALL oil fields are to accommodate for gas. (Part of the 5 year 'Master Gas Plan') | htrocka2
01/11/2016 08:41 | And who in Nigeria has given Sirius the skeleton key and what are they expecting in return ? | 1alfi
01/11/2016 08:37 | A vehicle that can accumulate assets in a different/better way than a larger company.Sirius being the skeleton key to many doors a different company can only watch from the street in awe. | minichris

01/11/2016 08:18 | avisandum - "And if anything I suggest is true, then our BOD does not have control." If that be true then why keep Sirius on board. For what purpose or role would Sirius be required ? | 1alfi
01/11/2016 08:04 | Dangotes refinery when completed will be the largest refinery of its kind in the world.I suspect that this business man has some influence in the decisions made in Nigerian politics. The biggest potential income for Nigeria going forward is from oil and gas and not necessarily in that order. This man states that he always gets involved in business to become no 1 in that business or at the very least no2.It just comes across as plain logic that the refinery will source oil and gas not only from sources outside of dangote a control but also very much from sources within his control. It is rumoured that he has already secured oil blocks that will be the feeders for this huge refinery in Lagos and over 1100km of subsea infrastructure will be in place effectively ending the militants capabilities to disrupt supplies. | bronislav
01/11/2016 07:28 | A big push on for gas... Reminds me of the British sugar industry 40 years ago, only 16% of the actual sugar beet was sugar, the rest, defined as 'pulp' was classified as a waste product. Then they found out that cattle thrive on it and increases milk yields. The Industry now makes more money out of the pulp than the sugar. If you read the early srsp rns' gas hardly gets mentioned, ...it's a different story now. | htrocka2
01/11/2016 07:25 | The requirement to pass special resolutions is 75% of those voting and not 75% of the shares in issue | solarno lopez
31/10/2016 22:21 | Ah yes, good ol' squeaky-clean UK, eh. Countdown to the 17th. Will it be Coco in a clown outfit, or BoBo the Magician, in top hat and tails (not forgetting the rabbit)? | dr rosso

31/10/2016 22:00 | And if anything I suggest is true, then our BOD does not have control. Most likely Big S is directing the pace here, and perhaps then our BOD is as frustrated as us! | avizandum
31/10/2016 21:50 | Think this BOD will have been walking on egg shells for the past few years. SRSP so small, much larger sharks could easily eat. SRSP has been doubtless playing politics and been swept this way and that due to economic imbalance between the players. Wrong foot and larger players could easily react and make life difficult. Hence GL. The political and tech guru known to the larger players. Crafty game, but politics as important as the economics here me thinks. Doing nothing at the right time, is as important as doing at the right time. But yeh, agree Sonic, without info, this is frustrating to watch. But giving us info at the wrong time, could easily upset the delicate balance. That's the way I read it. Could be wrong! | avizandum
31/10/2016 21:48 | o/t Dr...I'm a bit concerned about your definition of 'sweetner'....I've just watched a BBC programme where 30 Serious Fraud Officers are currently engaged in investigating the MO surrounding Rolls Royce's business ethics. | htrocka2
31/10/2016 21:36 | Can anyone tell me how many hours per day the board work? I would be very interested to know what they do all day!? | 1sonic
31/10/2016 18:15 | If anybody's interested I asked Ant to do a graph for me and post it on #srsp twitter ☺ | carados |
