It could be worse could have bought 200k in oilex at 11p like grannytwit ;) then sold at 1p.
At least we still hold have faith and have averaged down a lot, I'm still confident once all the share shifting has been completed news will follow and then we will see lift off!

No way can they carry on with all this buying and no shift in share price without explaining what is going on

It's not fair on investors

and just a reminder as to why we shouldn't take any notice of dates (hard to do I know and I'm guilty of that) in Aug/Sept, we were at 'last chance to get in under 4p'. That is not berating the Doc either as he gets led up the garden path as much as us.

Yep, big regret not listening to you back then as I'd now be sitting on 25m for the same cost. Thank you though for helping me to average down......considerably.

The question for potential investors now is whether at 0.23p, the shares are attractive on a risk/reward basis.

Given that any future placings cannot be issued under 0.25p, I would be expecting bullish newsflow in due course. We will see.

Certainly, that would be good for a very quick short squeeze...

granltim,

The ND was long his spreadbet. That is fact. Read the original RNS dated 2/11:-

"Chris Neal is interested in 12,762,083 ordinary shares of 0.25p each in the Company, representing 0.8% of the total issued share capital of the Company. He is also interested in a further 6,912,000 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company by virtue of a spread bet"

Gran - please apologise. Hopefully Simon our New man from Afren has secured the drill cost at the bottom of this cycle and now OIL heading North sharply.

Amazing bit of timing/Luck

Short it to zero.. If the directors have been spread betting you can guess which they they were hedged.. Not too clever to have it open when they put the lights out though ;)

If (big if) there was a bid, it wouldn't need "a bulldozer full of buys", as the shares would be suspended and then comeback at the bid price. That said, looking at the chart over just the last month, there is volatility.

As for why you would want to be long the shares and not via spreadbet, here is the IG Index view re 'force majeure', see page 11. My thanks to others on the bb for raising this issue earlier.

Volumes could be interesting this afternoon...

Just turned them into physical shares. Makes complete sense to me. Probably opened the bet to get MAX exposure with whatever cash he had so exposed to 7m shares or £20,000 for an upfront c£4k. He's maybe now got some free cash and has just decided to add another £16,000 and bring them into his ownership. Much better than being closed out.
