If they get the bonds away, they are still going to be priced at circa 12-14%...this in itself is problematic as the burden of the coupon will cripple this company and result in retail investors getting nothing. Single commodity companies should never have a net debt to net debt plus equity ratio of more than 30%, there are very few that survive the ups and downs of the commodity cycle. Ultimately, Chris Fraser will continue to pull in a £m a year while working for the debt holders not the equity holders.

The only winners here are Chris Fraser and his CFO who have fat cat salaries and get bonuses based in financing goals. They will continue to pull out £m packages while poor retail investors continue to lose their shirts.

I'd estimate they won't pay much taxes as you don't pay tax while running at a loss.

The capex and debt burden is so high that the combination of depreciation & amortisation and interest repayments will ensure SXX won't actually make a profit.
