The share has been under the radar of a lot of small PI,s until recent weeks. The % rise have on 2 or 3 occasions taken it into the top 10 risers of the day and it is starting to get noticed. Ive been in since mid June and its now mentioned a lot more around the LSE site, only needs small volume to move and as small investors clock onto Simigon the buys come in. I think its as simple as that.

A big contract may drop in any time and really push it on but you only have to look at the fundies and Contracts already in the bag to see what a great investment it is.

£6.5 million cash in the bank is almost half the mcap alone. 80% margins on revenue...

well done getting in Feb and building, I bought in june and have looked to top up several times awaiting a dip that just hasn't come.

This is a total gut feel, so almost certainly totally useless, but since last Feb i have been in Sim and building, and the recent price behaviour, week or so, doesn't look fundamentally Institutional driven, nor tipping, employees? something else afoot, apart from prime contract stuff, wishful thinking on my part no doubt . I have no inside info whatsoever, as i say, just buying patterns appear not as per the norm.

Pleased to see the continuing strong advance here, volumes today are again very strong, about double the normal volumes already.

It's interesting how it takes time for the market and share price to reflect the significance of the $6.7m prime contractor news.

80% margins on contracts, half the mcap in cash!

forecasts are well out of date. revenue last year will be massively eclipsed this and that's without any new contracts from now to finals.

I suspect a big contract will come though. CEO hints in statement prlim results.

Plus the possibility of "non-hard core" military activities, i.e. learner drivers etc which Avi mentioned a while ago

are you joking - 6 million + cash in the bank, no debt - 7mil plus new contracts since December and rolling on multi £million contracts. mcap is 14mil

see ceo comments in april prelim results. Bidding on larger contracts.

this price will look cheap and current forecasts will be out of the window.

Can't help thinking the latest price - not withstanding the Prime Contractor expectation - makes these shares very expensive on current forecasts.

Morning, picked up where it left off on Friday - flying.

I have done dummy sells twice this morn and MM,s will take my 17500 shares at above the bid shown on L2. Shares are always in short supply as majority not in public hands. 76% held by BOD and ii. Just 24% with public so moves fast on low volume.

looks to be no stopping sim.

AETC commander presents Duckworth Award to 558th FTS

by Capt. Ashley Walker
12th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs

3/8/2013 - JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO - RANDOLPH, TEXAS -- Gen. Edward Rice Jr., commander of Air Education and Training Command, presented the 2011 Col. Joseph B. Duckworth Annual USAF Instrument award to the 558th Flying Training Squadron here March 8.

The award recognizes an individual or unit who has made the most significant contribution to aerospace instrument flight over the previous year. Submissions usually include new or improved flight instructional methods, use of existing equipment, aircraft instrumentation, and development of equipment.

The 558th developed a flight training program that satisfies Federal Aviation Association and International Civil Aviation Organization requirements for instrument flight. The evolutionary training program leverages existing joint primary pilot training courseware and extensive use of simulators. The remotely piloted aircraft instrument qualification team was chosen for their efforts in developing the first pilot instrument qualification course for RPA operations.

"When undergraduate RPA training was first developed students were able to use existing T-6 simulators that all undergraduate pilot training students use, but as the number of RPA pilot students increased the simulator time became scarce," said Lt. Col. Scott Cerone, 558th FTS commander.

In 2011 the subject matter experts in the 558th FTS teamed with SimiGon to develop and improve a flying training device, or FTD, that would meet the squadron's training needs. The FTD they developed was not only certified by the FAA as a level five training device, it was built at less than one tenth the cost of a traditional flight simulator.

"Our FTDs cost the Air Force $270,000 versus a traditional T-6 simulator which has a price tag of $3 million and it still provides a level of fidelity where traditional flight requirements can be accomplished," said Cerone.

Cerone credits the squadron's expert instructors with the evaluation and operational development of the FTD and its FAA certification.

"The device we developed has capabilities that are almost like a traditional aircraft yet costs less than a simulator," said Chris Schweinsberg, 558th FTS lead civilian simulator instructor.
"This process took more than a year to design and implement with an additional three months of evaluation and improvements," said Schweinsberg. "Our civilian simulator instructor team continued to work with SimiGon to improve simulated aircraft handling, T-6 flight modeling and avionics, graphics, and hardware improvements."

"We are very fortunate to have a motivated instructor cadre who believe there is always room for improvement," said Schweinsberg of his team who are all former Air Force instructor pilots, who flew aircraft ranging from the F-4s and F-111s, to the MC-130, B-52 and C-17.

"This is a tremendous honor for the squadron and all credit goes to the instructors of the 558th FTS and their dedication to the mission," said Cerone.

"This advancement of instrument training is a testament to the high caliber training that occurs here. Our instructor cadre is innovative and looks for every opportunity to drive forward and push the boundaries of training. We are honored that General Welsh acknowledged the efforts of our instructors."

While presenting the award to the 558th FTS, Rice commented "Job exceedingly well done. You not only represent your squadron, but the wing and AETC well as you continue to produce quality pilots and aviators."

lanb, the key here is the Prime Contractor, thats now where the big contracts should come from. That 30 mill cevt contract is actually 50 to 80 mill, it looks like sim and urs are only going for part of it.

The Rns from 21/2/1, 2nd paragraph helped cemented my decision to get in sim just over a month ago. The share price has risen from 5p to its new high today of 29p inside 2 years. If they win 30 mil contracts as suggested below I fully expect it to continue its fast momentum north.

SimiGon Bids to become Prime Contractor for US Army CEVT by Joining Forces with URS Federal Services
Having URS Federal Services as part of the SimiGon team enhances the Company's bid for contract totaling up to $30 million
SimiGon (LSE: SIM), a global leader in providing simulation training solutions, is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with URS Federal Services Inc. ("URS") a leading provider of military training, engineering, construction and technical services, to provide a complete simulation training solution (hardware, software and connectivity tools) as a prime contractor. It is expected that SimiGon, and URS, will submit a bid in 2013 to become a prime contractor for the U.S. Army Construction Equipment Virtual Trainers ("CEVT") programme valued at an estimated $30 million.
The integrated team will benefit from the wide experience within URS alongside SimiGon's advance technology. If selected, SimiGon will receive revenues for the provision of all of the simulation and training technologies for several hundred systems, while URS will provide the Integrated Digital Environment, Subject Matter Experts and other important services.
The CEVT programme provides cost-effective training in a virtual environment. This allows personnel with little or no experience in operating construction equipment to have the opportunity to learn in a safe environment. As the programme progresses, training will move from simple control location and functions, to complex tasks and tactics employed in operating the construction equipment.

URS has trained over 20,000 U.S. Army aviators and has recently been awarded another contract to provide the Rotary Wing Flight Training at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence ("USAACE") in Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Ami Vizer, Chief Executive Officer of SimiGon, said: "Our stated strategy is to move up the scale and be a prime contractor and successfully deliver large simulation training programs such as CEVT. Expanding the SimiGon offer by adding the expertise within URS will enhance our ability to do this. With our established position as the preferred supplier of simulation solutions for the world's largest military flight trainingprogrammes, alongside URS, a world renowned name and proven operator in the industry, we feel we can provide a unique all-around offer to the U.S. Army."

Very nice break out today, volume looks about average unless there is a delayed trade reported later. The most exciting news here is last month's huge contract as a prime contractor, I believe this was a game changer for SIM. It will just take the market and investors a little time to digest the news, and the change in status that SIM are undergoing imo.

Just watched a programme on BBC where the US are sending marines to australia, however this was because of asia being so close. Sim are aiming for asia with their simulation software, so could it be why asia is spending more on defence with the US playing a part in aus now.
