23/7/2021 08:20 | Can get sell quotes above buy quotes | babbler
23/7/2021 08:19 | True, though some short covering may be going on. The current valuation is simply ridiculous. | wheeze
23/7/2021 08:08 | Shorters perhaps ? | wheeze
23/7/2021 08:05 | Crazy pi's No wonder mm's make billions Somebody sold millions at 3.75p way under the bid and people pile into this on the severe mark up at 5.4-5.5p No concept of the market, yes they might get lucky and make some money but I'd not pay nearly 40-50% more than what that mm paid | dave4545
23/7/2021 07:10 | Could the company announcement of the removal of receivers from the large shareholder be good news?No explanation as to the change other than hoping it leads to a more stable relationship. No sure if this will result in them holding or selling their shares.Soon see what the market thinks. | our haven
21/7/2021 11:32 | I've never known a company to have such ongoing bad luck whether self inflicted or not. Fundamentals remain the same as they've always been but if there was ever a case of a business needing some good news then surely this is it. | tempesttroy
21/7/2021 09:23 | Chairman off at this time does not look good. | our haven

02/7/2021 16:51 | I remember being mightily impressed with PHE, their technology, their investment case, their busines model, and then I looked closer: it's all pie-in-the-sky. They have nothing but fancy words on a fancy website and fancy articles written about them by the usual investment journos. When you look, it's "planning to develop", "licencing the technology" etc. At no point have they done anything. (At least that was when I last looked, might be different now... Ah, no. revenue was exactly £100k in the share fundamentals). At least SAE has the tech, and the power plant ready, and it just waiting on the useless bureaucracy to allow them to get on with it | gbjbaanb
02/7/2021 12:52 | EQT and maybe PHE will have the plastic problem wrapped up. Might be too late for SAE | volsung
02/7/2021 12:46 | So another country we've been using to hide our shocking plastic policies through exporting rubbish to has woken up and told us to do one..... .....now if only there was a recent coal conversion project, currently stuck in red tape hell, that has designed a way to utilise some of this waste, convert it to a useful fuel, and with possible huge environmental benefits if we can maybe invest in and add Carbon Capture to the plans? | kron76
01/7/2021 10:22 | I suppose the question for most of us investors is how many times must we average down? Today's share price has fallen further still and at the time of writing is trading at a 52 week low. I must confess, I'm sorely tempted! | tempesttroy
01/7/2021 09:44 | My plan is to hold until the Cfd auction. That's only 6 months or so away (timeline from BEIS is still vague). If usk comes back to life before then or the simec situation gets resolved that's a bonus but having held since 2017 In willing to give it a bit longer and maybe add a chunk in the autumn as one final throw of the dice. I have had some luck previously by averaging down and banking some profits when it rose into the 20s. Like most, I'm down overall though. | clabburn
01/7/2021 08:37 | Oh good god,it certainly won’t fail yet | the canadian mounted
01/7/2021 08:33 | I expect everybody has lost money on this, just depends on the degree. Someone said this share was going to 5p, I think even they didn't expect it to really happen and yet here we are. What painted me the most is the trust incompetence of the Welsh government calling on they planning for a bit of extra rail and a silo in a place that's already got those things. Months of bureaucratic pointlessness. The tidal boss should be worth more but won't be until it can't show a profit as a whole. I suppose more the question is how much of a long term going concern it is, we've seen the losses and the cash reserves. I've seen worse even for aim companies who have done a lot better with their sp! I think I shall wait for some news from them before deciding to average down or dump it as a failure. I don't think it will fail though, not for a while yet at least. | gbjbaanb
01/7/2021 07:58 | Certainly worth a punt | the canadian mounted
30/6/2021 22:28 | Absolutely gutted at what has and indeed still is happening to SAE. It has got such a lot going for it particularly with regard to tidal but plagued by sheer bad luck which is simply undeserved. Last August the shares were trading over £0.30p and now, barely £0.05p. It kills me to say it but there's a reason for that. However, not all is lost. Usk could still get the nod. Tidal could secure a CFD in September. The business could be sold to a half decent investor. Failure and the company will, at best, stagnate. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome. In the meantime, my sympathies for all of us that have lost money. There will be quite a few I suspect. | tempesttroy
30/6/2021 20:36 | Yes grim reading in places but nothing new or unexpected to my eye. Tidal revenue nicely up offering a tantalising glimpse of what might have been had the UK government kept support in place for this emerging industry. It's still a simple equation: if they can get either a CfD for meygen phase 2 or approval for uskmouth the share price will re rate and the medium term future should be secure. Admittedly that's a big if and we have a very tight 6-10 months ahead. I'm pinning my hopes fully on Meygen. Haven't given up all hope. When you see the capabilities they have developed for tidal I'm reminded of the fact this is a serious engineering company with some unique skills and experience. Not one for pensioners and orphans though. | clabburn
30/6/2021 19:00 | Once the major shareholders chunk is Sold to a committed buyer.then the recovery begins Revenue up and losses cut by nearly 50%. | the canadian mounted
30/6/2021 17:47 | If I were them I would be very very very seriously looking at ways to curb expenditure. Many pies spinning, maybe just concentrate on developing one or two of the better projects, then turn back on the remaining at a later date. | escapetohome
30/6/2021 12:32 | Going under? Hope not but beginning to seem that way | jpuff
09/6/2021 10:48 | A bit of a muddle revealed there in the RNS. The end result I would like to see, would be that the receivership is confirmed, the exemption from the 30% triggering of a mandatory take over bid is awarded to the receiver ( can't see why it wouldn't be) and then the receiver selling 29% of the SAE shares to a company with plenty of cash and ambition in the green energy field. That sale would be accompanied perhaps by an exclusive option to buy the remaining shares within say three months, which would then give the buyer the option of gaining exemption from the obligation to make a full t/o. With that exemption in hand, it would give the cash and ambition rich buyer great options; they would not be precluded from making a full bid for SAE, or obliged to do so. Whichever option such a company chose, should be very beneficial for SAE and perhaps its share price, imo. | muckshifter |
