I think they did OFFLOAD a significant amount in the last spike from 4.2p to 9p.

Possibly the last two lots were not dumped.

Now they are underwater.

This will go below the placing price.

Investment under Share Placement Agreement

SAE is pleased to announce that it has received a second tranche investment of GBP2,000,000 from a subscription to be made by way of a prepayment for ordinary shares under the share placement deed, the details of which were announced to the market on 16 December 2020.

Subsequent application will be made to the London Stock Exchange plc in due course (at the time of any share issuance) for any ordinary shares issued and allotted in relation to the prepayment to be admitted to trading on AIM. Such ordinary shares will only be issued to the extent that the Company has corporate authority to do so.

As previously announced, the proceeds from the subscription will be used by the Company to allow SAE to take advantage of investment opportunities across the Company's tidal energy, Uskmouth conversion, energy pellet, hydro and sustainable infrastructure project portfolio.

Very risky indeed. I'm sure the money will let them drag on for months bit possibly not years. Their rns mentioned selling assets so I reckon uskmouth will go, and that makes the company much smaller. So the debt well be reduced, but probably not nearly enough, will just the tidal business be profitable enough to continue supporting the remaining debt pile? I think a lot of simec was about future development. Without that, the price is likely to remain roughly static at best.

See my post from 27 September. If they can survive until next summer there is a decent chance they will win a CfD deal from the government for next phase of the meygen tidal project. If they do that they will be fine and anyone buying shares now will get rewarded. We have a long 6-8 months ahead though and no guarantee of success. A very risky play.
