Receivers are vultures who take whatever is offered , am expecting a new party to get involved if this is not challenged in the courts , company will do very nicely long term , shareholders will have to wait a bit longer , solid company with good prospects means it will survive .

Hi Clabburn, shares currently swapping for a shade under 6p a throw. Not that long ago (last August) they were trading over 30p. But I can see spiralling toward the 3p mark & possibly below that due to the uncertainty. It's such a mess. High debt/low equity & a falling share price is a recipe for disaster. Those buying now are either going to see themselves getting rich or very much poorer. The Welsh Ministers have been changing hands quicker than a Glaxo share & SUP now finds itself having to deal with a different officer thus going back to square one it seems. The uncertainty is killing this company slowly which I find upsetting as I had such high hopes for it. The company desperately needs that CFD on tidal but we have to wait until September for any news on that. The company will likely be weakened by way of a discounted share price no doubt just exacerbating the sentiment toward the company. What a mess!

Not good. Hard to know what the outcome will be from here. I had hopes pinned on limping us through the rest of this year with the big turn around hopefully coming with a CfD win in the winter. Just have to hope they can stave this off until then.

Little if any equity value given the debt

SAE ripe for a takeover. Might not be a bad thing in the long run.

Appointment of receivers for the holding company that owns 43 percent of the stock. What value are the shares for us now. Know that market does not like uncertainty, so I expect a big fall from these already very low priced stock.

I agree Clabburn. Governments play pass the parcel and don't take responsibility for the tough decisions. Meanwhile people continue to destroy the planet.

Sums the debate up perfectly. 688,000 tonnes of plastic is pretty close to the amount the converted power station would consume each year. It would mean we are taking responsibility for our waste and provide a useful service to the grid while we work on better long term solutions. The project needs to be primarily looked at in that context if you ask me.

Is it better to just burn plastics waste or burn and produce energy ?When will they learn ?htTps://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/may/17/uk-plastics-sent-for-recycling-in-turkey-dumped-and-burned-greenpeace-finds?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

That's quite wrong though. Going to full on zero carbons is a massive undertaking, and simply cannot be done with the renewable technology we have. There is no way wind and solar can do this as they are so intermittent, and making them work constantly using storage requires so much it's impractical.

So we end up burning coal on the bad days when there is no wind or sun. I don't see how that is ever going to bev progress.

The alternative is reliable generation, even if it's less than 100% green, or nuclear. There other technologies like tidal just isn't ready for the big time of gigawatts of generation yet.

Government confirmed in consultation today that there will be no CfD for coal stations converting to biomass.

Whilst this not directly impact Uskmouth, a CfD was flagged as potential at one point and in my view indicates the thinking of current government ie it's not just about doing better than the past but really striving for net zero.
